Doesn't start let alone download anything. Without something starting or an icon appearing with my other browser addons it's unusable.

Destination folder option is missing. Without it it is impossible to organize. I remember I had it before, but now I see that they removed it.
That's why she left them 1 star.

Is there a method to download sth to my own chosen location? I cant find option "destination folder" or you know. I gibe 1 star because this option is esential for me.

This add-on doesn't detect media in any tab. Complete garbage. Useless. XDM is a much better option.

I'm glad it's back but I'm not happy about how limited it is in functionality, now.

IF THE DEVELOPER HAS ANY SENSE, they would use a "native client" to do the filesystem stuff. (Like in External Application Button: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/external-application/)

It leaves a mess all over the Firefox's internal download/browsing history instead of being self-contained. Completely worthless, try other solutions.

Borderline useless after transition to webextension format, can't even pick and choose download directory. Shameful how the quality has declined after the change.

What happened to this app? How is it even possible you can no longer choose the DL location? WOW, this used to be a fabulous extension. It's pretty much dead to me now.

No @$%%ing way I'll use this app until they fix that.

Aggravating as hell, because there's nowhere in the settings to choose a preferred download location (directory). It saves to the computer's desktop. I never save photos to the desktop.

In the description on the developer's website, it says that there is provision for the user to set where downloaded files are to be saved. The website is wrong. If there is a provision to choose the download location, then I missed it.

I used DownThemAll before Mozilla changed the way it did extensions. I stopped using DownThemAll after that, for the same reason I'm about to delete it from my browser now--because it has taken away my choice of where to save the downloaded files--a common courtesy among download extensions and browsers alike.

I hope the developer will add back that feature, but I'm not going to hold my breath, because he has had all this time to add that option back, but has chosen not to.

In my opinion, DownThemAll fails in the very thing that it was written to do (save time when downloading multiple files), because it doesn't give the option of where to save the files to.

Another bone of contention is that I tried out the new version of DownThemAll by choosing several sites that had thumbnails of images with hyperlinks to the full-size image (image galleries). In spite of trying several different options, DownThemAll ONLY downloaded the thumbnails. It did not download the full-size image.

The quality of this extension has diminished considerably since its original release. After using DownThemAll for many years, I am very disappointed in the past several versions of DownThemAll, including the latest version. It doesn't do what it once did. I have only kept it on my browser in hopes that the developer will eventually give the user the option of where to save downloaded files. Since that obviously is never going to happen, I am deleting it from my browser, and I will not use it again, unless the developer adds the ability to choose where to save files downloaded by DownThemAll, and enables DownThemAll to download full-size images instead of thumbnails.

Complete junk in all browsers. Sometimes downloads images if you're lucky. Delete this!

On a page of archive.org links direct to mp3 files, it sees not one of them. It has no way to define the download directory or choose each time.

Way too much of a good thing! DownThemAll shows a list of *all* recently accessed URLs, many of which are indistinguishable from each other because they are truncated in DownThemAll's popu dialog. I want something to download *only* from the *active tab* in Firefox!!!
Unfortunately, I don't find any way to limit DownThemAll accordingly, neither in the options, nor by revoking unneeded permissions.

Great download manager if you ever thought FireFox's build-in download was too good and you want something more unstable which will makes you restart your downloads from zero again and again over the smallest bitrate drop...
