Does exactly what it says it does: changes your search engine to Ecosia.

One pretty annoying gripe, though, could you change the keyword from "ecosia" to "@ecosia" to be more consistent with other search engines?
It gets really annoying trying to search something starting with the word "Ecosia" from the search bar.

Best search engine ever. I spend a lot of time online as PC enthusiast, and I love being able to offset my own emissions by browsing the web. According to their blog, it takes ~45 searches to plant a tree and that adds up quickly. Remember to disable adblock for the site!

Like Trixie, I was so pleased that I could help the world be a better place but as a previous DuckDuckGo user the benefits of it, far outweigh the trees I planted.
Due to concerns about page filtering, malware, and country specific information when searching means I am going back to DDG. I will just give a bit more to tree charities now.

Actually, I kinda like the fact that with my using of the search engine I contribute for a better world. However, it seems to be aimed for people who use google. As a main Duckduckgo user, used to instant correct search result with an easy access to country specific research, I really can't recommend it.

Sehr schöne Idee. Da allerdings mit den Sucherebnissen von Microsoft Bing fehlen einem manchmal die einfachen Infos die Google ausspuckt. Wen das nicht stört, dürfte aber sonst kaum Unterschiede bemerken, außer den positiven Hintergedanken.
