GPTSelectReplacer 作者: Aaron Fong
Thank you for using GPTSelectReplacer. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Firefox add-on.
1. Information We Collect
GPTSelectReplacer does not collect, store, or share any personal information or data from users. However, the extension interfaces with OpenAI’s ChatGPT API to process text and generate responses.
2. Data Usage
Text Input: When you highlight text and activate the add-on, the selected text is sent to OpenAI’s ChatGPT API to generate a response.
API Communication: The add-on communicates directly with the ChatGPT API endpoint hosted by OpenAI. This means your highlighted text is temporarily sent to OpenAI’s servers for processing.
No Data Storage: The add-on does not store, log, or share the input text, API responses, or any other user data on our servers. The entire interaction happens between your browser and OpenAI’s API.
3. Permissions
The add-on requires the following permissions:
activeTab: To access the content of the page you are currently viewing.
contextMenus: To create the right-click menu option for sending text to ChatGPT.
storage: To save your API key locally in your browser.
scripting and webRequest: To manage communication with the ChatGPT API.
4. Third-Party Services
OpenAI: This add-on uses OpenAI’s ChatGPT API to process text. Please review OpenAI’s Privacy Policy to understand how they handle your data.
5. Data Security
The add-on does not store any data on our servers. Your API key is stored locally on your device using the Firefox storage API, which is not accessible to any external services.
All communications between the add-on and the ChatGPT API are encrypted using HTTPS.
6. User Rights
As the user of this add-on, you have the right to:
Understand how your data is used.
Disable or remove the add-on at any time through Firefox’s extension management.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this privacy policy periodically to reflect changes to our practices. We encourage users to review this page for the latest information.
