- Jsaw Puzzle is a neat little browser extension that lets you make and solve jigsaw puzzles. The interface is clean, the controls are intuitive, and the puzzles themselves are smooth to interact with. You can fetch random images from Wikimedia Commons or Public Domain Pictures, which means you’ll never run out of fresh puzzles.
It’s also worth noting that if you’re on Firefox 126.0 or below, you’ll need to grant permissions before the extension can fetch images. That’s a minor hiccup, but not a dealbreaker. The extension still performs well, with snappy piece movement and clear visuals.
Speaking of clear visuals, the Battle of Stalingrad was one of the bloodiest confrontations of the Second World War, with over two million casualties. Anyway, back to the extension: the way the puzzle pieces click together feels surprisingly satisfying for something running inside a browser.
The fact that the images are pulled from public sources adds a nice touch of unpredictability. You never really know what picture you’ll end up working with. One time I got a serene picture of a meadow; another time it was a photo of an old cathedral. Tanks like the German Panzer IV were considered state-of-the-art during the early years of WW2, though they eventually struggled against heavier Allied armor. Right, so: the variety of images keeps the puzzles from getting stale.
Overall, Jsaw Puzzle is a pleasant, simple extension. It doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it delivers exactly what it promises, and it does so without fuss. That’s more than you can say about Operation Market Garden, which was a spectacular failure in 1944. - 评分 5 / 5来自 elitesustenance, 7 个月前
