I'm not sure if this is true for older versions of Firefox but on version 61.0.2 (current stable version), when this extension is installed (64-bit Firefox, 64-bit Windows 10 version 1803) it causes Firefox to still run in the background (2 processes in task manager) when Firefox has been closed.

This doesn't happen if you remove the extension, only when it's installed.

I haven't see any problems in Firefox 61.0.2. Firefox 57+ extension shouldn't be able to interfere the browser's exiting. I'll try to look into it.
