I just installed it, but it says "Can't read and change data on this site" for Netflix. I would give it permission manually, but there's no ability to do that. All it asks for is "Access browser tabs" which seems to not be enough anymore.

I've updated what looks like a new required "data_collection_permissions" permission that Firefox added, so this should hopefully be resolved. However, I will say I am unable to reproduce any issues as described.

Also, to be clear the message that says "Can't read and change data on this site" is correct and expected. This addon does not require any access to site data, the only permission is to tab data so that the url can be read.

The intended behavior of the addon is when you are on the correct site, it will add an icon to the url bar that can be clicked to toggle the UI, you can see the screenshots for examples. (also, I've now added a keyboard shortcut that can be used to perform the toggle, by default it is Ctrl + Alt + H)

This used to work well, tested only on my Linux platforms (note the plural), however for many months now it says "Can't read and change data on this site" when on D+ or N. ca. September 12, 2025

I've updated what looks like a new required "data_collection_permissions" permission that Firefox added, so this might resolve this issue. However, I do not currently have access to a Linux machine to test, so I am uncertain, but this is working on the Windows version of Firefox.

It's great! I hate it when the UI keeps popping up when I pause or move the mouse. Now I can take a break and not spoil how much playtime is left. I wish the extension would remember my setting (so I would not need to enable it for every session), or at least have a keyboard shortcut to toggle it on and off.

Works like a charm on Netflix. Could have some extra features like a hotkey, but does the job.
