发布于 8 年前Thank you for your review. The history permission is needed since version 9.0 for better functionality / parity with the legacy add-on. I added a new paragraph to the add-on description:
"New Tab Override needs the permissions to access your tabs and your history. Why does New Tab Override need access to your history? It's needed to prevent spammy "moz-extension://" entries in your browsing history every time you open a new tab. - Have used this add on for ages and find it the most helpful add on I have for Firefox. Unfortunately the latest FF55 destroyed it for my new tabs. It works fine for my Home page so now for each new tab I have to then click on the Home button to see my selections. Works for me but a bit cumbersome. Found no solutions that worked to rectify this in Google.
