Testing Instructions:
This extension acts as a bridge between web-based AI interfaces and the Obsidian note-taking app. To review the functionality, please follow these steps:
1. Prerequisites:
* Install the Obsidian desktop application.
* Install and enable the community plugin "Local REST API" within Obsidian.
* In the plugin settings, copy the API Key.
Extension Setup:
Open the extension's Options/Settings page.
Paste the API Key and specify your Vault Name.
Verification:
Navigate to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or NotebookLM.
Look for the "Save to Obsidian" (📥) button that appears under completed AI responses.
Click the button to verify that the content is formatted into Markdown and sent directly to your local Obsidian vault.
Verify the "Prompt Macro" (⚡) button next to the chat input area, which should inject the template defined in the extension options.
Technical Note:
The extension uses site-specific adapters to ensure clean Markdown extraction by interacting with the native "Copy" buttons of each platform when available. It requires clipboardRead permission to capture this formatted text accurately.
