This plugin has been really helpful. But the bug everyone talks about has been a bane.

Here is a slightly tech solution: If your onetab recently stopped working, you can recover most of your tab data. I will try to put some scripts on github in few weeks, till then here the solution for technical folks to follow. Till then non-tech folks, please don't delete your onetab. You can create a new profile in firefox and reinstall a fresh onetab in that. You can recover it once I push the recovery tool to github.

For tech folks, go to the firefox root location. Then go into the extensions local storage. So for example go this folder on Linux ".mozilla/firefox//storage/default//idb/" folder. Please replace <> with the actual profile id and moz-extension id. The file will be inside the folder here called '.files' and there will be a binary file here with an integer name. Now to recover data from this use snappy-fox from github. This will give a json with some extra wild characters. Replace them and you should be set.

Works, even together with Tab Stash and Tab Containers. Just be careful about updating in macOS, I read that you might experience problems.

It finally happened... Multiple months worth of tabs instantly gone, the addon froze up and the extension menu for saving tabs wouldn't work, I close Firefox and then its completely empty. This extension hasn't been updated in a long time as well, I think it's time to find an alternative.

lost all my tabs...like years of tabs...and I just now realized there is no save file...just fucking url save files that you yourself have make in txt file format....yeeears of tabs and no way to get them back
