I used this search engine for a few minutes, but found that I could only choose 'english for the interface display, and not the actual searches that came back!
Why is that not an option?! ... french, dutch and german were choices, but not english.
After that experience, I uninstalled the Qwant extension, it prompted me to submit a reason why I was uninstalling. I was told that my few lines of explaination was 'too long' (max is 255 characters) ...ok fine, so I gave up, totally ridiculous!
Once uninstalled, I noticed that my startup homepage and tabs had been deleted! ... I had 5 tabs that open on firefox start-up, after uninstalling Qwant they had been deleted.
What a pathetic attempt, get a grip Qwant .. do you even think about your users?
- these are important and annoying inconveniences, and they are not even being addressed.

发布于 5 年前Hello, we're sorry that this addon does not suit you but the search engine feature is advised on the description.
As for the search language, we're sorry that the settings were not obvious too. Qwant does handle over 20 different languages, and of course english is one of them.
The fact that you cannot revert your homepage is truly an issue and we've already asked Mozilla if the override of the homepage could be consensual, but as of today, if an extension wants to set the user's homepage, there is no other way than what we did, this is why we do provide another addon.

- 评分 3 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 18937561， 1 个月前C'est dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de réglages pour les sites que l'on souhaitent autoriser. Ça me bloque les images ou vidéos d'intro sur un site que je consulte régulièrement (la dépêche).

- BEWARE! They are now anti-ad-blocking, claiming the need for revenue. They are blocking use of the search engine completely, unless ad blocking is disabled. It is insane to believe that this solution will not rely on shared meta data, now. This is what typically happens right before this sort of thing sells out to the data brokers. It was great while it lasted, but I have no doubt that QWANT will soon collect and sell our data (no matter what empty promises they make, just as they all do.) I am sad to have to go broadcast to everyone I recommended them to over the last year or so that they should drop this immediately and find another way.
