Using the ReadSpeaker TextAid for Mozilla Add-on requires that a user registers to ReadSpeaker TextAid, http://textaid.readspeaker.com. ReadSpeaker TextAid is covered by a separate privacy policy.

Local storage
Local storage is used for storing user preferences.
Data send to Readspeaker cloud
Reading request collects selected text and send it to our servers. We use this text to produce audio and timing information. Writing assistance is available for google docs and word online documents only. It tracks letters written on the page - if this functionality is disabled in the add-on settings, all letters are ignored. If this feature is enabled, only word and sentences are send to our servers in order to produce audio. Single letters sounds are played offline.
Log Files
ReadSpeaker TextAid for Mozilla Add-on uses Readspeaker servers to provide authentication, audio and timing information. Like most Web sites and web applications our servers record information about your session and write it to databases and log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses (which can be traced to your internet service provider (ISP)), browser type, referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, which pages you requested, etc. We use this information to analyze trends, administer the site, track users' movements in particular and in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. This information allows us to link your IP address to any personally identifiable information that you have given us.
