As it is I prefer to save as webp and change the format afterwards in Photoshop ( with the adequate plugin and a script it is faster, give more control and it is more reliable)开发者回应

* No automatic info / button bar *
On the Add-on's Options page, under "Button Bar Options", look for "Open bar automatically" and make sure it is *not* checked.
* Silent Save *
On the Add-on's Options page, under "Menu Item Options", you can set the "Plain click" action to save in your preferred format instead of showing buttons. Under "Save Dialog / AutoSave Options" you can control whether to show a Save As dialog or not.
I think that should resolve your concerns, but let me know if you don't find those options. - 评分 5 / 5来自 Yoshimasa,2 年前highly customizable and im finally able to download web straight as png. I swear this is the only add on that does such a simple task

I often download pictures from the web and it's so annoying when they are in the .webP format hat makes them hard to work with. This extension makes it so easy to download them as jpegs; I just right click and "open image in new tab" and that picture now has the options for the download format. Easy peasy.
As for downloading gifs... while this extension does not do that, it's very easy for anyone to do without an add-on: Click on the gif you want. From the Firefox toolbar at the top select tools --> page info --> media. Scroll down the list and click on the one you want; then click "save as" on the right-hand side.开发者回应

As a possible shortcut for the GIFs, you can restore the "View Image Info" command to the right-click context menu by toggling "browser.menu.showViewImageInfo" from false to true in about:config (see https://support.mozilla.org/kb/about-config-editor-firefox for more on about:config). - 评分 5 / 5来自 juice,2 年前

发布于 2 年前For best results with animated images, try using the "IE 11" button. That will re-request the original URL for the image as a dumb browser incompatible with WebP. That doesn't work on all sites, but it's worth a try.
If you are noticing that a specific site doesn't work with the "IE 11" button, could you share a link? You can send it by email jscher2000@outlook.com or create an issue at https://github.com/jscher2000/Save-webP-as-extension/issues. Thanks.- 评分 5 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 16433046,2 年前

Hopefully we can get it working again.- 评分 2 / 5来自 bleedingpopcorn76,2 年前it works great but its way too confusing to configure. either the settings don't seem to behave the way they're supposed to or i just don't understand what they say, i really don't know. i just click stuff until it stays the way i want it and even then it kinda breaks downloading images in webp automatically for no reason if i refresh the link. so far the worst front end i've come across in 20 years of messing around with comptuers.

Also, when the "Yes" option is selected in the "Save Dialog / Autosave Options" setting, it would be nice if the save dialog box remembered the file path for the next use.
Thanks.开发者回应
发布于 2 年前Thank you for your feedback. For animated webP, the "IE11" button works the best for saving in an animated GIF format, assuming the server offers one, but isn't perfect. For WebM, I could try linking to an online conversion service but I'm not aware of one.
The Save As dialog takes advantage of Firefox's built-in behavior to remember your last used folder per website. I actually don't know whether I can override that in the add-on; I'll need to look into it. - 评分 5 / 5来自 Gordon,2 年前Excellent add-on, thanks! I set the option to show the Save As dialogue each time and to save "Directly in my downloads folder", and for me it seems to remember the last save location so I don't have to go hunting for it each time. YMMV.
I haven't gotten the IE11 button to work yet, I still keep getting a .avif. But I may be misunderstanding something about that. Regardless, this thing is still great. Highly recommend if you are annoyed with getting .avif or .webp files when saving images. - 评分 5 / 5来自 PPlank,2 年前This is a great little plugin that I use almost every day for downloading memes in jpg format. The only thing I'd like it to also be able to do is to save to a different location other than the default so I have to navigate to the network folder I like to save images to, but I get if this isn't possible due to addon limitations and I guess I'll just live with it. Maybe I'll look for a bit of software that monitors that location and auto-moves anything that appears there. :-)

发布于 2 年前Hi, do the save options help? You can have Firefox prompt you each time if you need to use a range of folders. As you can see I was planning to let you pick any folder under Downloads (add-ons can't auto-save outside of your default "Save files to:" folder) but haven't finished that yet. https://addons.mozilla.org/user-media/previews/full/265/265268.png - 评分 5 / 5来自 shrl,2 年前

发布于 2 年前Sorry to hear about that. This add-on doesn't have a feature to delete saved images, but the images are handled as downloads and Firefox itself has a feature to delete downloaded files. The way that works is to right-click an item on the download history list and click Delete -- if multiple downloads are selected, all of the files for the selected items will be deleted. If the files weren't deleted through that feature, perhaps they are in the Windows Recycle Bin (if you run windows) or your system's equivalent. If not, you could try "unerase" software like https://www.ccleaner.com/recuva - 评分 1 / 5来自 Demez,2 年前
