That's a pretty old Firefox!
But sadly that won't work, I'm using some features that were added only recently in 102 version.
Note that the Firefox 56 doesn't have security patches released over the 4 years so that can be pretty dangerous!
I'm sorry for the bad news :(

edit: thank you for your answer and the hint with the popup. i only use google.de.
the test was with google.com. the other add-on loads the next google result pages when scrolling down. these new result pages have no thumbs. this had worked with the old add-on.开发者回应

What exactly do you mean? Please describe it more and I'm sure I can fix it.
Also, if you are not using "google.com" domain, you need to enable it in the popup window.
