The political biases of the creators with regards to who is part of the trans community, what is or is not transphobic, what language is or is not appropriate, etc. directly impact the TOS and intended purpose of this extension, so if your politics diverge at all (which they likely will, just because of how many stances there are to have), labels on accounts and pages may mislead you.
On top of this, users can and do falsely flag accounts as trans-friendly or transphobic (I've personally been marked friendly before for simply being part of a trans-positive group which is not what the label is meant to mean, but this feature can also easily be used maliciously), and high numbers of people using the extension results in false or misleading flags having a huge impact on the amount of engagement a user gets, which homogenises what LGBT+ talking points and perspectives get seen online.
Extensions such as this can be handy at times, but without attached explanation for why a user is marked the way they are, it acts less like an informative tool and more like a prosthetic gut instinct with someone else's biases baked into it instead of your own.
I'm personally removing this extension in response to a blog that should qualify for the trans-friendly label being irreversably marked as transphobic by the creators due to political disagreement, likely on the specifics of the relationship between the intersex and transgender communities. The blog owner does a lot of really important outreach and IRL community work, and has unique and important perspectives that a lot of people will no longer engage with because of the false label.
It was nice to have quick information to look to when something didn't quite sit right with me because I have a lot of trouble trusting my own instincts, but on further meditation I'm not OK with a tool like this deciding how I should feel for me.
If you do choose to install the extension, please consider its labels an invitation to inspect further and figure out why that label is there, instead of simply taking it as an objective marker of who is or is not safe. Nobody can judge what is or is not safe for you except yourself.

Not a trustworthy extension at all as it does not do as it is intended, they flag any trans person or intersex person that they don't like.
- 评分 1 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 18779033,3 天前Completely useless. The creator marks certain people as "transphobic" when they are simply discussing their lived experiences as intersex, transmasculine, nonbinary, or anyone the creator deems "not t-friendly." And "green" marked users spew hateful rhetoric against these communties.

- 评分 1 / 5来自 renardTrickster,8 天前The "t-friendly" marker is actually useless. You can make it as clear as possible how much you hate intersex, transmasc, and nonbinary people, but as long as you don't go after trans women you're good.
The "anti-trans" marker is a pretty good yardstick for identifying conservative transphobes, but it also marks the aforementioned people, as well as anybody who doesn't subscribe to the TME/TMA framework. I love when my ability to navigate the internet safely gets compromised by queer discourse that's supported by like four or five online friend groups and nobody else. - 评分 1 / 5来自 Sock,8 天前I used to really like this; however, it has started falsely flagging a lot of accounts. I had assumed this was a mistake at first; however, a vast majority of the ones flagged talked about intersex people and transmasculine people in a positive light. I had to uninstall it a week or so ago because it made using it genuinely impossible.

(if you think the low score ratings are a hate campaign against trans women, i hope you have fun with your terf friends who are marked green like @ femenaces)

If I have to fact-check every single flagged person to make sure the moderators flagged them correctly, what's the point of having this installed? Moderators have become extremely biased and hateful. I will keep this uninstalled and one star until current issues are resolved.
- 评分 3 / 5来自 BunnyDudette,8 天前i like the idea of skipping over profiles that promote hate, but i doubt there's any moderation for this? i think if clicking a person's handle in green or red showed you their post that got them that color, it would make things easier. right now it feels like anyone can get either color

- 评分 4 / 5来自 Tenthuzy,10 天前For anyone wondering, the current review bombing of Shinigami Eyes is related to a particularly viscious tumblr discourse that has resulted in harrassment campaigns against a number of trans women. I have used this add-on for about 2 months now and have found it to be fine, with one case of a true false flagging. It's not perfect - I would encourage anyone using this application to quickly investigate the reason for a green or red marking - but it is hardly unusable. Generally, it has been pretty accurate. But remember it only tells you how someone generally posts about trans people and issues online, and nothing more.
- 评分 1 / 5来自 May,10 天前A year ago, I would have called this the single most essential extension for any trans (or just generally queer) person online. Today, it's a completely useless waste of time which actively promotes harmful bullshit, NBphobic ideas, outright harassment, and, frankly, so much more. Just - come on. You had such a good idea. It was so close to being perfect. What happened?
- 评分 1 / 5来自 bearfrost,10 天前wth is going on with this extension??? for some reason the most vocal trans-friendly people are being marked as red, while i've seen green names say the most *vile* things about other trans people. and this just keeps happening. i can't trust this to adequately protect me anymore, so i'm absolutely removing this. i'm not sure what in the world is wrong with your moderation process but this is ridiculous
- 评分 2 / 5来自 Adelaide,10 天前As a trans woman, this tool is a necessity and I will not be uninstalling it, but it has declined in its usefulness over the years. It's incredibly easy to brigade, and moderators who curate it are obviously biased because I have seen even other trans women get flagged as anti-trans for saying things someone disagreed with, who had a big enough following to dogpile her. I see intersex people who only ever talked about intersex issues get flagged red over straight up nothing. It's still somewhat useful as a reference point to investigate, but something rotten is happening and it's so disappointing and disheartening.
- 评分 4 / 5来自 Cerebulon,10 天前Not always flawless, but currently undergoing a review bombing campaign by people who would rather burn down one of the internet's most useful tools for trans safety than accept that a small portion of trans people were saying intensely transphobic things about trans women, but cushioned in progressive language. Framing this as "anti-transmasc" is lumping all transmasc people in with those specific people and disregarding the many, many transmasc people who are flagged green, and I fully believe most people rallying against this extension have been taken for a ride.
Vital now more than ever. - 评分 5 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 18766660,10 天前
