What I liked is the coloring and the UIs.
But I have some serious issues with this add-on:
The way how it works: Every tab is saved as an URL like "moz-extension://...url=...". When you switch tabs, the tabs of the current group are closed and tabs of the new group are opened. If you click on the tab it takes an additional time to load the tab.
This process costs a lot of time if you have many tabs.
It took me about 10-20 minutes to switch a tab group - to be fair, that one specific tab group had about 2500 tabs which is a lot.
The second big issue is that you lose all your tabs if you uninstall the add-on:
Actually I still have my tabs, but they are stored with the URL "moz-extension://...." and therefore my opened tabs are practically unsuable, but also the history is. Now I have to write my own plugin to remove that prefix from the URL and hopefully I can work again.
Normally I would rate it one star because it was practically unusable for me but to be fair having 2500 open tabs I am not a normal user and I guess there are technical limitations that prevent the tabs to be "hidden" and you have to do it that way with the URL prefixes.

If you are "not a normal user", you could go into the settings and remove the checkbox "Enable fast group switching" - and this will disable the functionality that you did not like so much, namely: the URL like "moz-extension://...url=...". You have 2500 tabs - I understand what you have a problem.
About the fact that when you delete the extension there are tabs with the prefix moz-extension - this bug I'll postfix, thank you for finding it.

This extension repeatedly dumps all your tabs thus requiring you to restore them. No company in the world would put an application into use that was that unreliable, nor should you.
I don't understand the apologetics of those who think that just because something works sometimes, that it is still a worthy product. That is garbage and complacent thinking.
The application randomly and very frequently deletes all tab groups without warning.
It also creates back-ups but dumps those back ups in your download folder but it does not provide a mechanism for you to choose a more appropriate location.
So be prepared to have to restore your tabs from those back ups every few days. If this kind of silliness is "ok" to your thinking that's your business. But try that with Photoshop or the program you use for your personal finances. I imagine you would think differently.
The extension is not reliable and should not be trusted for use with anything important. You will lose data. - 评分 5 / 5来自 Astraios911, 1 个月前This is great, the only change I want is when using Firefox's new group system (not container). It doesn't hide the grouped tabs when switching to another group from this mod.
- This add-on is crazy good. I used it every single day until Firefox introduced tab groups themselves, so I'd rather use the native solution than an extension, but if Firefox's tab groups seem to not work properly after all I know where I'll be coming back to.
Contrary to other reviews, I never had STG delete my tabs or anything like that. They have a backup option in case this happens, but since this isn't clearly communicated, people seem to be confused about the random STG backup folders appearing, or because they dont know about the backups they do not see a way to recover their tabs. If I had to remark on anything, it would be that this could be more clearly communicated.
Other than that, I highly recommend this extension. It's one of the best ones Firefox has to offer. - Day 3 and it wiped out all tabs (except one). Tabs on bookmark-backup gone, folders do remain. From restore backup, yesterdays backup didn't work (it showed that it would have the tabs, but nothing. 2 days ago backup did work.
Only automatic backup option is one-file-a-day (erases previous same day backup)
Update: seems like "yesterday"-backup worked after some other backup worked. - 评分 5 / 5来自 Tom Kazansky, 2 个月前
