I admit, to be fair, I did not read any of the help information (which is fantastic that the creator even included it in this day and age for tech) but I have been trying to see how intuitive the plugin is without guidance (the hallmark of good code/design IMO). I think that the code runs beautifully and do not anticipate any 'hiccups' occurring with the functionality of how the code works from as far as my novice understanding of webdev can comprehend. The issue lays for me with the design/placement of certain buttons. I have accidentally deleted new groups/directories because -- upon dragging the tab menu out to make bigger -- when clicking the arrow (right) for the drop down menu button. the padding (I think) is off or at least, made dissimilar from the previous point the button was located on the layout, prior, to expanding the view of the menu, thus, I make multiple clicks (i assume this may affect users with a trackball mouse more because the mouse pointer is more liable to make unwanted small/subtle movements related to the movement of the person's thumb) which are off point, then, accidently hit the scroll wheel, and bam! Kicked my frustration up a notch. becasue groups with only a single item have the red 'x' located below the groups 'open/close' arrow button; therefore, if you click to fast and uncarefully, in an expanded menu view, the the mouse is likely to hover unknowingly over the link below, right on the 'close' button and thus deletes the entire group -- the other problem, this could be mitigated by having an optional* popup menu for this "are you sure you want to delete this group?" or maybe instead of an arrow, make the entire group label, in list view, always closed until opened, by clicking the label, which is more button 'real-estate' requiring less strain on my eyes to find the small buttons which are kind of lost in the thin default font which stacks all of the links open very fast into a mess for my eyes to sort out and then find the button.
I think a large tab menu label serving as a button itself which upon clicking, expands into the shit you want to see.
but the lines throw me off too -- i understand the line is meant to be seen as an indication of separation and a heading but i expect the line to also dropdown to the bottom of the list, below the content of links. Which I guess isn't a bg problem when the list grows large but when you onlu have a one or a few items, the line distracts me momentarily, post animation.
but overall I anticipate having a lot of use out of this web tool!
thank you for your effort

发布于 4 年前Hi, thank you for the thoughtful review! I definitely understand deleting something by mistake is frustrating. When deleting something, you should see a blue notification bubble appear at the top for a short time; clicking it will undo the deletion (or if you've done multiple deletions recently, it will take you to the deleted-items page).
I went with this approach instead of the confirmation like you suggested, because interrupting the user to ask for confirmation on every delete can be pretty obtrusive—95% of the time, the answer is "yes, I meant to do that". "Undo" gives you an easy way to fix any mistakes while still (mostly) staying out of your way.
I'll keep your other UI feedback (e.g. about the separator line and stacking up too many items) in mind for future releases. Thanks again!

- Absolutely a crazy good addon that is surely the killer feature of Firefox. I am so amazed how quickly and smoothly this addon can manage 1200+ groups and 36000+ tabs across 20 devices. It's simply unbelievable. Thank you so much for this great addon. Great softwares truly can change people's life in such a positive way.

I'm also happy to hear it's performing well for you; that's something I try to pay close attention to. - 评分 5 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 18997982, 11 天前Please add flag to create with old folder name when search is active instead of the search terms
>edit
Instead of whatever is typed in search , i would like the option for folder names to be created as in Version 3.1.1
Search terms as folder names are too contitional , restrictive to work without affecting stash organization even more when having to manage numerous diverse tabs
The search terms can be regex , random , short , ever changing etc ; they ignore the how often a new folder is created that can be set in the addon options when the search term is changed ; selecting and chosing to create a new folder will just do the same and can lead to duplicate folders if the search terms remains the same , at least in this case the folder names with 3.1.1 format would not be identical ; now if technically speaking the search term would check not only the topmost folder in the stash root but check all top folders (not sub folders) then it would just stash in a old folder where in this case the outcome wouldn't be desired so theres no avoiding this issue
3.1.1 naming format didn't had those downsides and was simple to work with开发者回应

- When I install Firefox on a new device, there are three add-ons that I install immediately: my password manager, uBlock, and Tab Stash. That's how useful this add-on is for me.
I like using it when I have loads of tabs open and I desperately need a clean slate, but I have neither the time or the brain to filter through my open tabs to figure out which are important (and where to save them), and I risk being filled with dread over potentially losing something I want to come back to later. Tab Stash allows me to have the best of both worlds by allowing me to have my clean slate and also hoard tabs.
Filtering through those saved tabs is also super easy, if I ever wanted to organise my saved stuff, or revisit past browsing sessions. Let's be real though, the way I use Tab-Stash is like a kid shoving all their mess under their bed so their room looks tidy when parents come to inspect. Realistically, it doesn't help me to be more organised, because I'm too ADHD for that. What it does help me to do is make peace with my chaotic internet browsing habits, which helps to reduce general guilt from being a mess. For me, Tab Stash is an essential part of my online self-care, because even if it only gives me an illusion of a clean slate, that's good enough.开发者回应
发布于 2 个月前A little bit (or maybe a lot) of mess isn't necessarily a bad thing! (Pardon me while I just, uh, shove all of my unnamed groups under "Sort Me"... >.>;;)
In all seriousness, I'm really happy to hear that Tab Stash is helping you keep things... maybe not organized, but at least well-contained enough to give you some peace of mind. Thanks for taking the time to write a review! - 评分 5 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 14273350, 2 个月前

Also just breaks when you try to import a stash with a file that doesn't exist on the current computer, hoped for some error handling especially when I had the option of not loading the tabs when they're unstashed. Long list of features but for my use case it isn't any different than firefox's sync, just more cumbersome.

发布于 2 个月前Unfortunately Firefox itself does not offer a tab-grouping feature today, so the best any extension can do is track groups only within the extension.
Sorry to hear about the issue with import, please feel free to open an issue on GitHub and I'd be happy to look into it further. - 评分 5 / 5来自 Bergen2024, 3 个月前Seemingly the first actually good tab grouping add-on I've tried, and I've tried a lot. Works great and very intuitive after the first couple uses.
One thing that could be added might be the functionality to close the menu again by clicking the add-on? Sometimes I only open it to check something, and then having to swap to the other side of the screen to close the sidebar is slightly inconvenient.开发者回应
发布于 3 个月前Thanks for the review and the feedback! You might want to consider using the popup view instead if you want a way to pop open Tab Stash quickly just to check on something. You can enable it in Tab Stash's settings.
You can use both the sidebar and the pop-up view at the same time if you like—just use Firefox's built-in "Sidebar" button to open/close the sidebar, and switch Tab Stash to show the popup view when the Tab Stash button is clicked. Hope this helps!
