The way it detects your swipes is by horizontal scrolling, so any time you horizontally scroll on a webpage it takes you back or forward.
Also doesn't work in the firefox start page开发者回应
发布于 5 年前The purpose of this extension is exactly what you complain about: to jump back and forward when you swipe horizontally. So I'm not sure what you were expecting when you installed it. Did you know that you can adjust the sensitivity of the extention in its settings page so you can tune how much swipe triggers the jump, so that you can still be able to scroll horizontally on pages?
Moreover, no extension at all works on Firefox' about pages, like about:home, as well as on any site in the firefox.com, mozilla.org and mozilla.com domains. This is for security policy. You can unblock this security restriction at your own risk on these domains by opening a new tab, insert in the URL bar about:config and search for the following preference, and put an empty value inside: "extensions.webextensions.restrictedDomains". On about:* pages, however, don't expect any other extension at all to work - 评分 5 / 5来自 YasinRzaqi,5 年前Good add-on, but I can't get the swipe to go forward in history to work at all and the swipe to go back is finicky and doesn't always work, hope the developer can fix these issues, if those issues were fixed it'd be perfect

发布于 5 年前Hi, thanks for the feedback. I will break your issue in parts, and answer them separately.
1) You wrote "swipe to go back is finicky and doesn't always work". Have you tried customizing the extension's settings? Maybe, by increasing the sensibility or the timeout settings you can achieve better functionality. At least I hope so. Keep me posted.
2) Beware that all AddOns are deliberately disabled (by default policy, by Mozilla Firefox iself) just on some pages. This can give the illusion that the extension "sometimes" unpredictably, doesn't work. No extension will work if you are on any page from the domains *.mozilla.net, *.firefox.com, *.mozilla.org! The same applies for special pages like about:preferences, about:config and - most important! - about:home. This last one, Firefox's default homepage "about:home", is likely the reason why some other people like you complains that the swipe forward does not work. Maybe you install the extension, open a new tab, search something, then click a couple of times on random links, finally you try to swipe back (and it works), but once you hit the first page, the home, you are not able to swipe forward because it's about:home.
Please make sure that you aren't on any of these pages and, if the problem is still there, feel free to submit another complain. I'd be interested in knowing if this happens specifically on some websites.

发布于 5 年前Thanks for the feedback. Feel free to provide additional information about when exactly it doesn't work swiping right. Make sure also you are not testing it on websites such as addons.mozilla.org or www.mozilla.org, where no add on is supposed to work for security reasons.
