发布于 3 年前Hey, sorry for replying so late, for some reason I didn't get a notification. That's a good idea, although i'm not using any custom rules currently, I created an issue (https://github.com/clemzarch/ff-umibo/issues/1) and I'll post some stuff if it can help other users.

From a usability perspective, I think the best way to implement these would be:
- Minimize, to show only the taskbar, with a single click, or double click on the folder name.
- To open all bookmark you could just have the right click menu work the same as it does on the Bookmark Toolbar. The shift + click and the ctrl + click already work for opening links in new windows and new tabs.
But I have no idea how easy these are to implement, so take that for what you will.

Not sure if you're still working on this, but a way to minimise open folders, a way to open all bookmarks in the same or a new window and a way to reorder the bookmarks would be great additions imo.

I still work on it from time to time when I find bugs, but it has pretty much reached the point where I am happy enough with its features, using it daily.
a way to minimise open folders -> I could definitely add something like this, but I need to figure out how: either a sort of taskbar, or simply a "minimize button" (or on double-click?) that would collapse the window into its title-bar, or reduce it into a small icon (like on NeXTSTEP environments).
a way to open all bookmarks in the same or a new window -> I tried to do that previously, but it was a bit difficult to make it work correctly, because each window would need its own history, navigation buttons, path, and then I'd need a way to right-click or Ctrl-click to open in a new window... and I didn't find how to do it with the Extension API. I'll explore this a bit more, hopefully without making the code too complicated.

Now in "Compact Mode", bookmarks with long names, the bookmark characters would displayed as some white dots on the second line, because they cannot be displayed in full on the second line. This happens only with some bookmarks with long names, it would be nice if the problem is fixed.
And would you consider uploading the extension to the chrome or edge extension store? That I can use it when I switch to another browser. Thanks for the extension, it‘s great!

Hello, your extension works very well. But I still have some feature requests, the spacing between each bookmark seems to be too big, the spacing between the left and right bookmarks is very big, and the spacing between the top and bottom bookmarks is also very big, causing the number of bookmarks that can be displayed at the same time to become less.
I am used to using firefox browser in small window mode at the time I work. It would be nice if the extension can display as many bookmarks as possible when the browser in small window.
So my feature request is: Give the user an option to reduce the spacing between bookmarks and bookmarks.

If you know CSS, you can always add your own rules to customize the appearance of the page, it's in the options.
But not everyone knows code, so I have added a new "Compact Mode" option that reduces the size and spacing of bookmarks to a strict minimum. 发布于 2 年前Hi, thank you for your review. You can delete a bookmark by dragging it and dropping it into the big box marked "Delete", which should appear at the bottom of the screen while dragging.
Please note that for now, it's impossible to delete a folder containing multiple bookmarks, you have to delete each bookmarks in it before deleting the folder.
It might be a bit complicated (in term of code, I want to keep things simple) to give the ability to select multiple bookmarks. But keeping the scroll position after deleting a bookmark, yes, that's definitely something I can work on.

it's not impossible for me to do, but firefox can already do it quickly, if you click the search bar and type * followed by a word it'll search in your bookmarks.
- Increase Folder and icon size
if you're not afraid of a bit of code you can add custom CSS rules in the addon's options, by clicking the little cog on the top right corner. An other thing would be for you to increase the zoom level on the page with Ctrl+Plus. Since Firefox remembers the zoom level for each site it won't effect other pages. I also added 2 options to increase/decrease font and folder size at will.
- Edit bookmarks (to change URL / names)
this is doable by hovering and pressing Enter over a bookmark
- Background color / Upload wallpaper
I've added a color picker to choose a background color, in the options. Uploading a wallpaper is a bit tricky technically because of storage, loading, and what Firefox allows developers to save on the user's hard-drive. But in the mean-time there will be a simple text box where you can paste the URL of an image from the net.
- Option to forget / remember last opened folder state
I don't really understand that one. Do you mean you don't want the last opened window to restore its position and size when the new tab loads? If you give me an example of when that behaviour would be useful I think I could better understand.
