Untabbed.to does not collect, transmit, store, or process any of your personal information or browsing data on external servers.

How Your Data is Stored

All data created by Untabbed.to is stored locally on your device using your browser's built-in storage API (browser.storage.local). This includes:

• Tab URLs you save
• Tab titles and descriptions
• Thumbnails and images from web pages
• Collection names and metadata
• Your preferences (theme, view mode)

This data:

- ✅ Never goes to our servers (we don't have any)

Permissions Explained

Untabbed.to requests the following browser permissions:

tabs

Required to read the URLs and titles of your open tabs when you choose to save them.

activeTab

Used to access the currently active tab to determine which window's tabs to save.

storage

Required to store your tab collections locally in your browser.

<all_urls>

Needed to extract metadata (thumbnails, page descriptions, and preview images) from web pages. This extraction happens locally in your browser - no data is sent anywhere.

No Tracking or Analytics

Untabbed.to does not use:

- ❌ Telemetry
- ❌ Crash reporting
- ❌ Usage statistics
- ❌ Advertising networks
- ❌ Any third-party services

No User Accounts

Untabbed.to does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information.

No Network Activity

Untabbed.to does not make any network requests to external servers. The only network activity is:
- Your browser loading thumbnails from the original websites (standard browser behavior)
- No data is sent to Untabbed.to servers or any third-party services

Data Deletion

You have complete control over your data:

To delete individual collections:

Open the extension viewer, click on "Collections" and delete any collection you wish.

To delete all data:

Remove the Untabbed.to extension from your browser. All locally stored data will be automatically deleted.

Children's Privacy

Untabbed.to does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Since all data stays local on your device, there is no data collection occurring.

Open Source Commitment

Untabbed.to is developed with transparency in mind. You can inspect the extension's code to verify our privacy claims by:
1. Navigating to about:debugging in Firefox
2. Finding Untabbed.to in your installed extensions
3. Viewing the extension files directly
