UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES BUY THIS RUBBISH!!!It used to be excellent but the last update was a disaster. Now nothing works. The paid licence is removed and all attempts to reload it fail. Customer support is NIL! DON'T THROW YOUR MONEY AWAY ON THIS RUBBISH!

Since the last update or updates (it's a few months that I don't use it) it doesn't allow anymore to choose a custom download folder. Instead, it defaults to the download folder chosen in the Firefox's settings, and it completely ignores the choice of "ask every time".
There is no more popup window to choose where to download.
For me 10001% USELESS as of now.

used to be great, totally bricked now as they force a giant QR code on every video to force you to pay. time to get another extension

i understand they want to put in a QR code to get people to go premium, but imposing a big ass one on the video is just low and just shows the level of greed from these DEVs, they need to remember they arent the only ones that provide addons like this

Nah... Only useful if you subscribe to premium. Otherwise you can only download one video every two hours. So, in other words... skip it.

This may be a YouTube specification, but now I can only download in 360p quality.

It has not worked since updating, I had to roll back to 9.5.0.2

I used this addon from beginning on to download thousands of videos. Until v10 update made is useless.
Update from v9.5 to v10 broke/removed nearly everything I liked about this BEST add-on ever:
- legacy mode removed
- no more posssible to preselect download location BEFORE dowloading and then just let it download, like it was last possible in v9.5
- videos too often not recognized

I have rolled back to the the last update before this and have disabled updates (rollback was sadly only possible on firefox, but not on chrome/edge). And with v9.5 videos continue being recognized, download location can be preseselected BEFORE download, interface is again clean in legacy mode.
I think that developer is not using it himslef and can not recognize how critical it is to select location and name of file BEFORE !!!! starting to download. If you let download like 10 videos parallelly , it is mission critical that you can do it.
It is WRONG if you have downloded video into memory and only then the extension asks you where to save it. I want to program download job and leave PC alone to finish it. and not return back and try to remember what I wanted to save where.
I will never understand why developer decided to make a PERFECT addon worse by removing core functions.

Latest update broke nearly everything I liked about this used-to-be-fantastic add-on. It did not need this redesign. What once was a joy is now naught but frustration.

WAS a great add-on, but last update has made it unusable. Now looking for a replacement.

les développeurs ont récement décidé d'ajouter sur tout les téléchargement un immense QR code qui couvre 1/4 de la vidéo. L'extension est inutilisable en l'état.

Antes era una de las mejores, ahora hay que esperar dos horas para descargar otro vídeo si no pagas. A veces no funciona. (Mejor alternativa: ytdlp.online)
