I have a paid hosting on app.wallabag.it and yet setting up the addon needs to create a client on the website, pasting it back on the addons settings page and still entering the password anyways, or maybe not, very unclear. I then realized that before setting it up it was not saving anything. So I just LOST all the pages I bookmarked before figuring out how to connect the plugin to my account. And the wallabag plugin doesn't indicate in anyways that it is linked to a server or not. No color change, no error messages. So I was just casually bookmarking pages with the idea that they were getting saved....But they are gone. Now that I linked to the server, I was hopping that it would sync a kind a local buffer, but no luck with that.. Wallabag is great, but the Firefox addon is just crap.

We are really sorry to ear that your experience was not great enough and you are absolutely right about your issues. We just released a new version opening the settings page after the extensions being installed. We will try to display a better warning when configuration is not ok.

- Sorry, doch solange immer sofort gespeichert wird, nicht mehr als 3 Sterne.
Das muss für mich entweder optional sein oder es wird immer nur nach aktiven klick (nicht nur das icon) gespeichert. Alles andere führt gelegentlich numal dazu, das man seine gespeicherten Seiten zumülltm, weil man aktive löschen und nicht aktiv speichern muss! - 评分 5 / 5来自 Wesley Branton， 1 天前

发布于 6 天前Hi there, Firefox for Android changed the way we have to make it works. It's working as expected on Firefox Desktop. One star for an extension you didn't use is kind of rough though. - Similar to Pocket, but you can (optionally) host your own server. Less polished, but it does the job, making it easy to save the current page to read later, with optional tagging in the save dialog.
And it can save the content from the page you're viewing now, which is helpful for sites with login walls.

- I have the same issue as another reviewer. The addon installs and tries to check the URL I typed in, but "Wallabag URL checked" remains at "Not checked" although "Wallabag permission checked" changes to "Agreed."
Clicking the toolbar button throws an error, "api.GetTags().then is not a function."
Wallabag itself is working fine. I'm using a self-hosted Wallabag instance - Wallabag is hosted on my NAS which is on the same LAN as the machine running Firefox and the addon. I can access the Wallabag instance from my laptop and save articles with it, but the addon stops at the "Wallabag permission checked" step like described above, unfortunately :/ - 评分 4 / 5来自 don_dolarson， 2 年前So far works good, LibreWolf 116.0.2-1. Let's see how it behaves in long term. Registered, created API token, pasted everything needed in the extension and voila. Setup took less than 5 minutes. Easy peasy even for a noob.

The url provided in the developer's response fixed my issue, but this addon is still far, far too complex to set up for the average user.

These instructions don't make any sense if you're a paid subscriber. The firefox addon asks for a url, and none is provided in the instructions. I tried https://app.wallabag.it/ (since I'm a paid subscriber) and the options page still says 'url not checked' so I can't get this thing to work.开发者回应
发布于 2 年前Hi there, sorry about that. You can fill in the URL with `app.wallabag.it` then click on the test button and authorize the access of this URL. Do you have any installed extension? 发布于 2 年前Hi Andrew, I'm really sorry to ear that. Can you tell me what happen when you click on the "Test URL" button? Did you try to remove the extension and install it again? Are you using wallabag.it or a self-hosted instance?
Have a nice day, I hope I'll be able to help you. - Wallabagger is a great extension that help making the most of a Wallabag instance. Once the initial setup done (which needs Wallabag login & password plus an API client ID & secret Key from your Wallabag instance), the extension works seamlessly.
