A sample page where it bugs : https://www.grazia.fr/
Edit : Thanks, it's much better now ! - 评分 1 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 13366908, 8 年前Everything is much, much slower than with the old one.
"View Image" --> "Zoom" is f*cking slow, it crashes the whole Firefox.
I switched back to the old one, and everything is MUCH faster than with the new WE. Image zoom is blazingly fast.
I will not change to this WE-version unless i really have to. This sucks so bad that I just might switch to a different add-on just because of this.开发者回应
发布于 7 年前Zoom Page WE 7.1 should fix these issues.
If Text Zoom or Minimum Font Size are applied to a page, then Zoom Page WE will be a little slower on that page than the legacy Zoom Page. - 评分 4 / 5来自 Morten. P. C., 8 年前Need some reset button to default the settings, and
Need some settings for sites to left-center-right alt in body and html
it's has always driving me nuts, when Some html, body and borders are being displayed in left site after top-banner on responsive sites instead of being center when i zooming in.
so basicly what i ask for is a feature to keep borders and body to align="center" when i zoom, while making side-banners pushed out of display sight, this site is an good example. - This appears the be the only(?) most viable replacement for the NoSquint extension of Firefox past.
It would be nice if there was an option to only automatically do an auto-zoom if there are no previous 'Zoom Page WE' settings for that page/url/domain. (ETA: I just reread the instructions, and it says this option is already there.. I just don't think it's working properly here, sine I had to disable it because I think it was always applying it --- I'll try enabling it again, and notice if there is indeed a problem here. )
Though I do like that the built-in Fx zoom controls seem to affect the text only, after an auto (where the setting is 'full') has been applied. Don't know if this is intentional or not, but I like the fact that it seems to work that way here.
Also, regarding the options page: it's not drawn correctly here (namely the bottom buttons) if the minimum font size is set larger.. I had to lower that in order to see what the last checkbox was for.
However, I'm having a constant annoying problem in Fx Nightly (58.x) - where a yellow banner pops up, and says "Zoom Page WE" is slowing down your browser.. With options to temporarily disable it, stop it, or wait. The only workable solution to get past it and view the page properly is to select either 'temp disable' or 'stop it'.
Response for developer reply of 17-11-01:
Sorry for the late reply - I've been trying to gather any commonalities (unsuccessfully). It has largely calmed down for the moment, but seems to be more prevalent if 'autofit' is enabled. When it was happening a lot, I had few tabs being restored due to me just getting into nightly... But now I always have a lot of tabs (>30 tabs). Whether that means anything, I don't know.开发者回应
发布于 7 年前If the Zoom Mode is Per-Site and if the "AutoFit when page loaded or browser resized" option is enabled, then fit-to-width zoom will be applied automatically - but NOT if the user has manually set a site-specific zoom level.
With Zoom Page WE 7.1, the Options page is now drawn correctly for all font sizes, and the yellow banner popups should no longer appear. - 评分 3 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 13347901, 8 年前The new functions are fine but I miss the one hand, one click +/- and the one click % drop down menu of the old version. Find a way to restore the functionality of the old version and you get five stars.

Coming from defunct NoSquint, and as directly switching to NoSquint Plus would have been too easy and unfair I decided to give a try to Zoom Page WE. I installed and got a popup about some key that should be set to TRUE but I didn't had time enough to read & understand as non-english native speaker.
What to do ?
BTW : what does WE stands for ?
Thanks开发者回应
发布于 8 年前The popup tells you to set the 'browser.zoom.siteSpecific' preference in Firefox's 'about:config' to either 'true' or 'false', depending on whether you are using 'Per-Site' zoom mode or 'Per-Tab' zoom mode.
'WE' stands for WebExtensions, which is the name of the new Firefox add-on API's. 开发者回应

Since version 6.0 Zoom Page WE provides fully automatic fit-to-width zoom. - 评分 1 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 13340688, 8 年前I have used the previous version of zoom page for years it was amazing. The new version is useless. No matter what you set the zoom level at you have to reset it every time you follow a link, or go backwards and forwards.
It doesn't even remember the zoom level you have picked if you visited the site earlier in the day.
If I could give it a zero star rating I would开发者回应
发布于 8 年前Zoom Page WE has all the features of the original Zoom Page (and a few more), except for the image zoom features.
Zoom Page WE provides site-specific zoom. In the options, the 'Zoom Mode' must be set to 'Per-Site'. Also, in Firefox's 'about:config' page, the 'browser.zoom.siteSpecific' preference must be set to 'true'. - 评分 5 / 5来自 Francewhoa, 8 年前The good
• Attractive GNU General Public License version 2. This means this add-on is owned and supported by a friendly not-for-profit community. Instead of a for-profit corporation. And more secure because its full code is publicly available for review.
• Easily and quickly set default zoom either per-site or per-tab
• Fast and responsive
• Lots of configurable options
• Add-on can be activated or deactivated without restarting Firefox
• Implemented using the new WebExtensions API. Which is the future of add-ons.
• Available for both Firefox and Chrome with identical functions and user interfaces. So one easier learning curve :)

• Friendly and fast support from author
The bad
• After you click on the toolbar button, the text on the following 3 buttons overlap the buttons: “Reset”, “Auto”, “Reset”. Which make those 3 buttons both hard to see and use. But the buttons are still usable. The author said there is a fix in progress to resolve that.
Note
• This is now fixed with version 6.3+. With the previous version 6.2 at “about:addons” under the add-on “Preferences” page the location of the configuration of options might be hard to find for newcomers. Because to find those the user has to scroll all the way under the very long add-on description text :( In my case, after an initial configuration I seldom need to change those configurations though. So it is still usable :) I suggest to keep the add-on description text concise. And move the long details to a webpage. Such as the add-on homepage at https://addons.mozilla.org
Then add link(s) from the add-on “Preferences” page to the add-on homepage. I understand Mozilla made a poor usability choice by moving the configuration to that location. But I’m assuming the developer has control over the lenght of the text and can add URL into that description of the add-on “Preferences” page? Any other suggestion to resolve this challenge?

发布于 8 年前The 'AutoFit' button does a one-off fit-to-width operation that automatically resizes the page contents to fit the page width.
There is an option to automatically apply AutoFit every time a page is loaded and when the browser window is resized. This option is called 'Apply AutoFit zoom instead of default zoom level'.- For some odd reason, this addon will not automatically scale images to fit within the window; it makes them huge when I want ALL of them to fit and it will not quit.
It's like the "autofit" function doesn't even work. I have to resize all the pictures BY HAND.
Otherwise, this is a worthy replacement for the almighty "Zoom Page" addon (which had an autofit function that actually worked AUTOMATICALLY).开发者回应

I was just about to uninstall add on because I could find no obvious way to set the default zoom level. Not one word of explanation is offered--just endless and (for me) pointless discussions about what the add on could do. Very strange.
By reading the reviews I found some hints on how to set the default level and was able to make the desired zoom adjustment.
The product is excellent. The instructions for busy people are horrendously bad. Do something about it if you want to have success.开发者回应
发布于 8 年前This issue is caused by Mozilla's design, not by Zoom Page WE.
Once you have discovered how to access the Options dialog, then setting the required options is very simple.
For some bizarre reason, Mozilla have decided to place the Options dialog (for add-ons that use the new WebExtensions API's) at the end of the add-on description page. - New, 20210608:
Your help states:
Zoom Page WE is implemented using the new WebExtensions API and is available for both Firefox and Chrome with identical functions and user interfaces.
I find this slightly incorrect. When I export per-site option in FF, the filetype is .TXT. From Chrome, the filetype is .JSON.
Not such a problem, but, I can't import the FF per-site options to CHROME, even if I change the filetype to .JSON
The onlyi thing I see may be a problem is the final statement from FF is
"subsitetypes":{},
}
It has a trailing comma, but when I export from Chrome there is none.
Can I import FF options into Chrome and how?
===================================================
Old:
I justinstalled Zoom Page WE. (getting away from Zoom Page).
It breaks the following page:
https://www.ebay.com/dsc/Fiesta-Vintage/87/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=&LH_TitleDesc=1&_sop=10
I get the "unresponsive script" dialog. Does it consistently. I disable ZoompageWE and the page refreshes fine.
Running FF 52.4.0 EST... win 7 Pro, 32 bit
Addition, 10/4: Maybe I'm doing something wrong, But, it looks like I can not make more than one review. I wanted to list each problem in a separate review, but it looks like Mozilla deletes a previous review when I make a new one. So, communicating problems with reviews is problematic.
My second problem:
I set up the options to define customized zoom amounts(30, 40 50, etc) . I also set the Zoom In/Out to fixed steps of 4%.
using CTRL+ and CTRL- makes the zoom amount change by the "customized zoom amounts". Using the drop down menu + and - makes the zoom amounts change by the "In/Out fixed steps" amounts.
a. This is not documented
b. This is clumsy. That is, using the drop down menu is clumsy just to change a zoom amount. Any time I have to pick up the mouse and use it I am not happy. It would be perfect if I could define a keyboard shortcut for the two zoom by In/Out fixed amount functions. Or, just have them defined (maybe ctrl 11 and ctrl 12 or anything besides the mouse).开发者回应
发布于 8 年前The unresponsive script problem is fixed in Zoom Page WE 6.2.
With regards to the Ctrl+- and Ctrl++ keyboard shortcuts, iIt depends on whether the page contents are focused or something else (e.g. the address bar) is focused.
If the page contents are focused, then Ctrl+0, Ctrl+- & Ctrl++ will use the user-defined zoom levels or zoom step.
If something else (e.g. the address bar) is focused, then Ctrl+0, Ctrl+- & Ctrl++ will use the standard Firefox zoom levels. - Just upgraded to this version this morning. I knew how to access the option menu because I had use the previous version that worked on earlier version of Firefox. But when I saw the option dialog box at the bottom of the option page I thought it was an image of the menu not the actual option menu. Sent email to the developer who responded within a minute of sending him a support email. All is well.
