When it works, it works well, it's simple and effective. However, it completely breaks audio on a lot of sites such as IMDB, where there is no sound, or Prime Video, which shows an error message if you try to watch anything. The only way around it is a four step process where I have to right click the icon, click 'Manage Extension', click the toggle to disable, then click back to the tab I was in. And then when I finish watching whatever video, I have to click back to the extension management tab and re-enable it.

It would be nice if there was an easy way to disable the extension in 1-2 clicks, or right click it and blacklist the entire site in the current tab so that it automatically disables itself, it would be much less of a hassle. Ideally, it would just work on all sites, but I'd settle for workarounds.

EDIT: Found another problem where it really breaks Bing functionality. I can't access the menu, video result previews don't play, and only the first 8 thumbnails load in, while everything else is a black rectangle. Image searches show a similar problem where no thumbnails below the top results load in. If I make my window larger, more results show, but as soon as I page down, broken.

Default behavior extension should only run on the tab when clicked. https://i.ibb.co/L9zdQsY/image.png if it's not working as expected remove permissions under about:addons.
This behavior works better on MS:Edge.

I'm not experiencing any issues with bing.com, the videos seem to be mostly youtube videos and they load as normal. Do you have other extensions installed? Also because MS love proprietary nonsense. I recommend using User Agent Switcher to make all MS junk to use Edge's UA.
Further changes to allow per URL stuff, and caching sites requires more permissions. This was originally meant to be low permission, and the smallest footprint volume control plugin.

    many volume extension don't work, it was a pain for me to find one that does work well enough for firefox, this is one of them, lovin it so far. From the reviews tho, I think I'm bound to find a problem with this extension, but as of right now, it hasn't malfunctioned.

    Would really love to continue using this, it has nice controls. Just one last feature I wish was added: show list of tabs that are outputting sound.

    Works great, simple and effective.
    Only thing the last version make videos on YouTube start mute and have to refresh to hear sound (other people wrote that too).
    Pls get it fixed ASAP.

    This should've been fixed in the latest, I think Mozilla pushed it, try manually checking for updates or pull it from the github page.
    The issue was caused by a fix I put for Bluetooth for someone else, where his headphones werent resting when a video was paused.
    So I started force stopping the audio hook when stream was off, but that caused as you see some pages not rehooking.
    Again it should be fixed in 6.7; which again is available in the github, but may be waiting for approval from mozilla.
    If its not fixed in 6.7 lmk in the github.

    Sometimes it works independently from any volume on the website in question and sometimes it 'takes over' that website's volume tab if that makes sense.. Like if you already have another volume tab extension (like the one for bandcamp) it glitches...

    Edit: I changed my rating to 5 stars bcs it's working great now!

    You can blacklist the site in settings / click the active button off and refresh the tab.
    Of course, two extensions using the same API w/ permission to the same site/tab would fight one another.

    the latest version 6.5 has a bug when you skip ahead in a video it will mute the audio. i've rolled back to version 6.1 for now but just letting you know...

    it worked very well for the first few months, but recently the audio has began bugging.

    im not sure how to explain it well, but it kind of sounds like those annoying "earrape" (for lack of a better word) audios people use to troll with. ill listen to a video from bed and the audio will be fine, it goes quiet for a moment and then starts blasting like that, and i have to get up to fix it.

    it usually fixes if i just pause the video and unpause it, but its been getting worse where it happens a lot more often than usual, (sometimes every ~5 mins) doesnt stop after one pause, etc. and its gotten very annoying.

    the extension is nearly perfect but this one thing just completely ruins it.

    I added a ton of patches, 6.6 is still pending update approval from FireFox, but if you go to the support page you can sideload and test.
    I never experienced the issue you mentioned yourself, but any possible flaws have been fixed in 6.6

    Thanks to its ability to have both mono/stereo control and volume boost, my two plug-in needs were reduced to one. Also it works perfect.

    Twitch audio breaks while the extension is active. Also doesn't work on most websites.

    This is a limitation of the site, the script should no longer have audio blocking but it will only let you lower volume on sites with strict CSP. CSP blocks extensions from manipulating the site/audio.

    works on websites where the videos can change (like course lessons on udemy, where you stay on the same page, but the next video loads in)

    another plugin worked only on the first video, but this one keeps working 👍👍

    It shouldnt after the last patch, and the solution was theres been a toggle to disable it on unsupported sites for over a year now. Here in Canada it does work on amazon prime for me. TBF FIrefox has fallen far behind and I use my extension on Edge.

    I learned about this extension from an Asmongold video—he uses it to adjust the volume of online videos and enable mono audio output. That's why I recommend giving this extension

    On sites where it works the extension is very helpful. However there are several sites where I have had to disable this extension to play video at all, including Hulu and Peacock.
