wót Wužywaŕ Firefox 12812696, hace 6 añosI could be mistaken, but I think the "Form Border" option is only available via the options button in the address bar (popup panel). It's missing when accessing the settings through the addon manager. I think I'm using the latest version of the extension. My machine runs Firefox 56.0.2 64-bit on Windows 7 64-bit platform. The issue could be with my outdated version of Firefox - which I deliberately don't want to upgrade. Aside from that, this extension is absolutely awesome! Love the toggle on/off option.
UPDATE 07/04/2020:
This is a second review unrelated to my first. I wanted to make a suggestion. In the options, the word "dims" is a little ambiguous. I wonder if you might change the text of your hover help tip for "ADVANCED MODE" to read: "Darkens text to a deeper shade of its color instead of black"? then maybe label the "BRIGHTNESS %" option below "DARKNESS %" instead? Maybe it's just me, but using "DIMS" in tandem with "BRIGHTNESS" is perplexing. Love the addon otherwise!

jo se napisał hace 6 añosYou are right, "form border" is intentionally missing from the global options. The reason is because the feature is experimental and doesn't work as well as I'd like. But seeing how you find it useful, I'll add it to the global options for the next release.

- Z 1 z 5 pógódnośonywót What???, hace un mesFont Contrast only applies Bold text on most sites only, nothing else.
None of the contrast, color, brightness, or opacity features work. Websites especially those who use closed shadow‑DOM components, CSS variables for all text colors, and !important rules that the extension can’t override.
The result is consistent: bold works, everything else does nothing. This extension has many limitations at the root level and in how the extension handles shadow‑DOM and variable‑based color systems. A fix would require support for rewriting CSS variables and penetrating closed shadow roots
Instructions are written by an NPC written for an AI or bot. Extension doesn't play nice if you have other extensions like uBlock or VPNs and more. It needs a major update.
You need to know how to tweak your settings. Otherwise, the default settings don't do much. It needs a toggle to see changes with and without as you change the settings.
It's funny how there are many Chromium extensions that do this job well, but only this one claims to adjust the contrast fonts. Clearly Mozilla's marketshare is dropping fast and developers want no part of it.
If F. Fusco, the developers spends a bit more time providing instructions and updating his guide which is not current it could be a "game changer". But it looks like it's abandoned. - Z 3 z 5 pógódnośonywót sdevel, hace 2 mesesWorks for me, but kills my usercontent settings for link colors, even if setting "ignore colorful text" is enabled.
- Z 5 z 5 pógódnośonywót **a, hace 3 mesesThis works very well for my firefox installation. I wish it were available for other browsers. On those, I have to use "Better text view". It provides similar results, but is MUCH more difficult to use.
Thanks for the great extension! - Z 4 z 5 pógódnośonywót aqk, hace un año

- Z 4 z 5 pógódnośonywót Blargg, hace un añoNice readability increase for common sites that stupidly use gray text. Usually works and I forget it's running. The occasional site can't have its text darkened. Working fine with uBlock Origin and NoScript on Android.
I had to keep advanced mode off because it would darken the light background of text on common sites, and disables subpixel rendering. With advanced mode off it works great. - Z 4 z 5 pógódnośonywót Wužywaŕ Firefox 10745620, hace un año

- Z 5 z 5 pógódnośonywót sssss wwwww, hace 3 añosNifty plugin for making web page text more readable.
If anyone is interested in its Chrome version, here is link to the plugin's chrome port.

Chrome port works exactly as the Firefox plugin, except for toggle on/off button. - Z 5 z 5 pógódnośonywót e scoles, hace 3 añosAt a glance, works better than Google's native equivalent on Chrome. Do take a moment to read through the configuration options!
Gripes: As others have noted, the icon is (ironically) invisible on dark themes. They should re-do it to make it visible. - Z 5 z 5 pógódnośonywót EerorErrie, hace 3 añosIt's a bit complicated to set it functional, but it works, as a font-zoomer, that's it. Nice job for saving my eyes from those stupid micro-font webs, thanks.

- Z 1 z 5 pógódnośonywót Wužywaŕ Firefox 13404543, hace 3 añosIf I select blacklist, it resets zoom level. So I adjust zoom level, and it deselects blacklist. Can't really change anything at all.

- Z 5 z 5 pógódnośonywót mmmel4real, hace 3 añosWorks great if not using an extension to make websites darker. It doesn't really change the contrast of light text on dark backgrounds. (I played with all the options.) I don't think this is the fault of this extension though because the other extension takes over all styling. So no stars deducted.
I like the option to increase the text size too. It adds the missing toolbar icon that Firefox refuses to give us for toggling custom font size.
Text looks a lot better in pages with lighter backgrounds and black text. I also love all the great options for getting things just right, and I love that the changes can be customized for each website, or use blacklist mode. - Z 5 z 5 pógódnośonywót Stu, hace 3 años
