wót Wužywaŕ Firefox 18718208, לפני 20 שעותEdit: I have adjusted my review under the understanding that this is a change in how firefox discloses data privacy. I would still advise the developers to address some still relevant concerns from Platant's blog post "Data exfiltration in Keepa Price Tracker".
Original: Uninstalling until the recent changes requiring lots of personal data collection is rolled back. There is no need for this info and hasn't been needed for years. Enshitification.

Mozilla now requires every add-on to declare data categories from a fixed list, and Firefox displays them on update.
What Keepa does: on an Amazon product page it sends that product's ASIN to keepa.com to draw the price chart. It is not logged and not retained. Nothing is stored unless you choose to track a product. The "personally identifying information" line refers to your Keepa session token - a login credential for your own account, not your name or email. We think that's the wrong label and have asked Mozilla to change it to "authentication information".
The extension runs only on Amazon product pages.

- Z 1 z 5 pógódnośonywót korbitr, לפני 4 שעותInstalled this as a replacement for Honey's price tracking, and now they want permission to collect my data as well. No thank you, I'll use the old version until it stops working.

Unacceptable and uninstalled. - Z 2 z 5 pógódnośonywót ChrisG, לפני 8 שעותWhile the extremely worrying "new" permissions may just be an artifact of Mozilla new categorizing for disclosure, the module still seems to go behind the user's back using his browser to execute unrelated requests for it.
Whether this is abnormal in relation to Mozilla or Amazon guidelines, and GDPR, and the requirements for the developers, I cannot properly evaluate, but I'm still concerned about.
I would encourage the developers and users to eg read Wladimir Palant's blog post titled "Data exfiltration in Keepa Price Tracker". - Z 5 z 5 pógódnośonywót Primokorn, לפני 11 שעותNew requirements:
What's happening: The new "data collection" categories you're seeing aren't Keepa suddenly requesting more access — they're part of a new disclosure format Mozilla now requires from all Firefox extensions (rolled out since late 2025). Developers must now explicitly declare data categories that, in many cases, the extension was already handling — this is just making it visible.
Why these categories match Keepa's actual function:
* Browsing activity — Keepa needs to detect when you're on an Amazon product page to show price history.
* Website content — it reads the page (product name, ASIN) to build its price charts.
* Personal data — likely covers optional contact info (e.g., email) if you set up price alerts.
* Technical/interaction data — marked as optional, probably standard analytics (errors, browser version). You can decline this without losing functionality. - Z 1 z 5 pógódnośonywót Oery, לפני 11 שעותrandomly asks for invasive permissions without any saying about it would even need them to work

jo se napisał לפני 9 שעות
- Z 1 z 5 pógódnośonywót Ramset, לפני 12 שעותTracking begins! Why are add-ons that were originally good being deliberately ruined like this?
