Doesn't work as Firefox extensions do not allow this extension to be pinned onto taskbar at all. No possible functions to use.

I like this add-on and used to use it a lot but it stopped working when I started using uBlock Origin. In looking into it, I noticed the homepage associated with this add-on is also blocked and when I opened it in a sandbox, it redirected to an Indian website that was purely malware and set off all kinds of pop-ups and Windows Defender went berserk. I'll happily update this review once this is addressed.

Please add the support for MPV, MPC & Potplayer. I don't use VLC!

You can already use any player or program you like to open the m3u8/mpd files. This is chosen under 'Applications' in Firefox 'General' settings and also your default operating system file handler.

If you set MPV player as the default application in Firefox for m3u8/mpd files and, if using Windows (or Mac or Linux), then set the default file handler for m3u8/mpd files as MPV, then when you click the icon in VideoController, MPV player will open and play the video.
