The only catch was that to be able to actually open the port in Firefox, I had to give myself the permission to access it by doing "sudo chmod a+rw /dev/rfcomm0" in a terminal window (without the quotes).
"rfcomm0" is what the bluetooth manager called it - it's a serial port over bluetooth. With a plain old usb cable serial port, the port is called something like /dev/ttyACM0 . Do "ls /dev" before connecting the cable and then after and look for the new entry that's showed up. - Z 5 z 5 pógódnośonywót DevourerOS, 3 μήνες πριν

It's a bummer that Mozilla org refuses to implement these features natively. Browsers are also a major app platform and has been for years, if not decades. Weird that it's still controversial for some.

This should be a standard feature idk why firefox is so unwilling to implement it - Z 5 z 5 pógódnośonywót Wužywaŕ Firefox 16881153, 2 χρόνια πρινIt was hard to find bundled .exe installer. But I'm finally happy with the working add-on
