Funciona apenas com youtube.com. Você deve marcar as caixas de seleção abaixo do vídeo e corresponder ao mecanismo TTS instalado nas configurações do complemento. Ele se lembrará da seleção do mecanismo TTS, mas a caixa de seleção precisará ser marcada em cada vídeo, por um motivo.

It only works with youtube.com. You have to actually tick the checkboxes underneath the video and match the installed TTS engine from the addon settings. It will remember the TTS engine selection, but the checkbox will need to be ticked under each video, though, for a reason.

    Great app.
    Doesn't work on Firefox Android.
    The subtitle and language selection checkbox doesn't appear on it.
    Working on Kiwi Android.
    Doesn't work on Edge Android. It is not possible to select a voice (region) for TTS.

    It seems that the the subtitles still cannot be read in Youtube using the updated version 0.1.7.16 released on 8/June/2025. Can the developer advise? Thank you very much.

    That's odd as I retested on mine and it works with various languages/settings.

    You can email me the video and your settings (screenshots would be fine) to conrad . rzuc [at] gmail . com (remove spaces, replace [at] with @)

    Developer here.

    YouTube introduced a step to prevent automated bots, which broke this addon even though it is not a bot.

    I have submitted a new version (0.1.7.16) of the addon able to work with this.

    From now on it would take up to 48 hrs more Mozilla people to review the code first and then after that for your browser to update to the version.

    Esta bueno, pero me parece que habla demasiado rápido en español, incluso si le bajo la velocidad al mínimo. Seria súper que también se pudiera suprimir la voz humana de alguna manera para no tener que bajarle el volumen al video. Saludos.

    I see people had trouble getting this to work - If you try this, or you cant get it to work, remember that you have to scroll down to the description of the video and check the box of the subtitles you want read out-loud.

    Example: If the video I'm watching features a Korean speaker but has subtitles written in English that I want read out-loud, I would check the 'English' box under the video player: If the video with the Korean speaker has Korean subtitles that I want read in English, I would check the 'Korean' box and from the drop down menu next to it, I would select English (because I want them read in English, not Korean)
