by Michael, 3 years agoNice addition to the Proton family, but the add-on has multiple limitations for now:
- Login is not detected on a lot of pages, and the add-on doesn't ask to save credentials as a result.
- When add-on is in "lock" mode, it should prompt the user to unlock it and save credentials.
- Would be very nice to integrate, if possible, Touch ID on MacOS, so that the user experience gets much better, like the embedded functionality in Safari.

- Would you mind sharing which pages the login detection didn't work for, so we can report this to our team?
- When the extension is locked and an action is required from it, we do display the fact that it's locked (indicated by the padlock on top of the Proton Pass logo). We're also looking into the possibility of opening the extension window automatically in these instances, but we don't have additional details to share on this feature at the moment.
- The third feature you've mentioned is also on our roadmap, but no ETA at this moment.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Yharon Coutinho, a day agoProton continues to lead the way in privacy. Their passkey implementation is intuitive and works flawlessly. It’s great to have a secure, encrypted vault that manages both my passwords and passkeys in one place. Using it as a browser extension is incredibly convenient.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Rohit, 2 days agoThe app is good. It does what it promises. However, I've given 4 stars, not 5 because the UI can be made a little better.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Primokorn, 4 days agoMissing features such as username generator. UI/UX issues which I submitted to the support team. Bad management of the aliases for the backup.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 19147791, 6 days agoThe Proton suite available as browser extensions (particularly VPN and Pass) have only gotten better and better. They integrate SO seamlessly that I almost never have to tinker with them. I love being able to country-surf with their VPN (both desktop and browser) and their Pass(word) manager is spot on! All of their applications are so comfortably integrated into the Proton DNA that I couldn't imagine using any other product. I was a bit nervous leaving Nord, but after a year with Proton, I did not renew for a single year, but opted to go another TWO! And not having the US government sniffing my data and whatnot anymore...I won't be leaving Proton any time soon.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17816757, 6 days agoThis is the only actually private password manager offered by a major company: the rest are all selling the list of domain names you hold accounts on. For the privacy conscious, there is no other choice (you could host your own if you have a lot of technical know-how, but that takes time and effort). Proton is perhaps a bit too complicated for my parents to use. But for anyone of the tech generation I do recommend this wholeheartedly: even the free tier offers enough to significantly improve your online life.
