by VOIIIXI, 3 months agoI don't like that it's only a 6 numbers pin code to lock your add-on, it should be longer or have a password option, this isn't secure enough for me to use as of now and I will stick with Bitwarden until they make the pin option have longer numbers or add a password option.

- Rated 5 out of 5by PetrosM, 5 days agoI am amazed how far password managers have come! I chose Proton to better secure my accounts because of their focus on privacy but their focus on SECURITY goes so under represented.
AT TIME OF WRITING (always check review dates, software changes) its SEAMLESS. Literally i just transferred all of my passwords right across, it syncs and works seamlessly on android, windows, browsers, etc. And its also worked amazing at helping remove duplicates, secure old accounts, add 2FA to everything, even opt out of marketing (this wasnt by design but the page it takes you to to manage your accounts is usually right next to all of the privacy opt-outs, so ive been using this to opt out of advertiser profiles too)
And beyond all that you can even attach things to your passwords! This is a double edged sword though. You can use it to attach recovery codes for authenticators!... but then your password manager becomes very high risk and youll need to lock it down like fort knox.
Or you can be clever and attach hints and clues for account recovery (e.g "the recovery codes are in the third draw in the metal tin")
Adore this, loving proton so far!
