- Rated 4 out of 5by Loïc Noss, 2 years agoGood extension, but Proton Pass is still a bit away from a feature-complete password manager.
Sometimes the autosave is not autosaving. Sometimes inputs prompt are not detected (not always Proton fault, websites don't always follow standards).
Need some UX work: password generation history is now present, but a bit hard to access. I miss a simple manual auto completion when the website domain is not linked to a saved login. Today, you have to press edit, then add the domain, and only then you can use manual auto-complete.
Weird stuff: you can save a pattern for generated passwords... but the suggested password generated when you fill a form is not following this customized pattern.Developer response

Autofill support depends on the browser and OS and we're working to take into account as many OS versions and browsers as possible. Please flag any problematic web sites or apps to us by editing your review or by contacting us at pass@protonme.zendesk.com, and we'll note your feedback. - Rated 4 out of 5by Dani, 2 years agoFor a first release it's quiet good, but can't detect login/password field on a bunch of sites and it's 50/50 if it detects that a site has saved passwords - even though I have the same URL/address in the saved login.
Also regularly forgets my settings for my password flavor (random string, how many chars, etc..) which is annoying.Developer response

Es una lástima que no haya programa para escritorio para una mejor gestión y que no permita trabajar fuera de línea. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 18031497, 2 years agoGreat UI, but still rough around the edges for detecting login pages or 2FA prompts

posted 2 years agoHi! Thank you for your feedback. You can already configure the password length for random generated passwords. Here's how to do it:
- Open the extension
- Select + in the top right
- Select 'Password'
- Type: Random password
- Use the slider to select between 4 and 64 characters for the password length - Rated 4 out of 5by swilson, 2 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 17632393, 2 years agoStill getting used to it, lock function not working on Firefox, it does on Chrome.
Developer response
posted 2 years agoThat sounds odd. Can you explain a bit further how the lock function isn't working? What Firefox version are you using? Do you have any other extensions installed, and if so, could you try disabling them to see if there are any incompatibilities by any chance? - Rated 4 out of 5by FollowtheRieper, 2 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by Dave, 2 years agoI've tested this in Chromium and in Firefox. In Firefox, it is currently Experimental but seems to work okay.
It won't work with Firefox ESR, only Firefox release channel. It would be much easier for me and probably many others who use Firefox ESR in Linux; no need to install two different versions of Firefox.Developer response
posted 2 years agoThank you for sharing your feedback with us.Currently, this is not supported as the extension is built using Manifest V3 which is not supported by Firefox ESR. We will share your interest in this with the team, nevertheless. - Rated 4 out of 5by Hmmm, 2 years agoMaybe I need to change my workflow, but one feature of BitWarden I like is the ability to pop-out the window of the extension. This comes in handy when you need to toggle between the password manager and the page open in the browser or in a browser on a different monitor. With Proton Pass, better not get half-way through creating an alias or login and click outside the extension... or you have to start over.

posted 2 years agoThank you for sharing your feedback with us! We've passed it along to our developers, so they can look into the possibility of implementing this option. Now I can get rid of my old Norton Password Manager - albeit no import option for this manager. So only 4 stars since cannot import from that.
Developer response
posted 2 years agoThank you for your feedback! We plan to expand support for importing from additional password managers as we develop the app further. We've added your vote to the feature request for Norton in particular. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 16734780, 2 years agoI installed both the Android app and the Firefox extension yesterday, migrating my data from Bitwarden (which I am keeping for the time being). Both products are functional and well designed, but I am giving "only" four stars because I expect them to evolve rapidly and become a truly exceptional password manager, as it happened with all Proton products so far.

posted 2 years agoThank you for your kind words of support, and for taking the time to rate and review our app! - Rated 4 out of 5by Lautaro, 2 years agoWas using BitWarden, which is fantastic. But since Proton Pass came out, I wanted to try it since I already switched to use Proton Mail and Calendar. I like the idea of having "all my things in one place" (as long as it's a good place).
Both the app and the extension look good and simple. Exporting json from BW into PP had no issues and I have already used it on a couple of sites. I give 4 stars since just comes out (at least publicly) and devs don't get high on success and keep improving it :P but I can recommend!Developer response

I can generate password at the signing up on site, but it is not saved by the extension..
My example is https://dotacjenaokna.pl/logowanie-strefa-dilera/
It would be nice if, when I create a new login manually, on the button instead of "Create login" there was simply "Save"Developer response
posted 2 years agoThanks for the feedback! We're looking into fixing this in one of the upcoming updates to the extension. - Rated 4 out of 5by ton, 2 years agoGreat features overall, but seriously needs a form fill shortcut like Bitwarden has.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Bpg, 2 years agoGreat addition. While it is at experimental level, I am enjoying the basic functionalities. Keep up the great work!
