A lot of people are either 1 or 5 star reviewers. I think one star is quite harsh.
I'm not impressed with this extension and was surprised it was a recommended one. I agree it isn't very intuitive to use but even worse it that it slows my browser down immediately to the point of being unusable. Google e-mail will not even open.
It would appear however this is a recent issue.

It's nice to be able to browse websites comfortably, but there's a problem.
When viewing photos and text on Google Maps, problems often occur.
I have to change or disable the filter to get it to display properly, and even when I switch to a different filter, the text sometimes doesn't display.
I think this program needs some improvement.

Dark Reader has recently been causing me problems on various websites. The pages get stuck while loading and links do not lead to the linked content, but to the content above or below it. The following websites only work for me if I disable Dark Reader. I use Firefox and Opera as my browsers.

Worth using, but it can be annoying.
Works 90% of the time but when it breaks it breaks hard. Wouldn't be as much of a problem if it the tools it provides you for custom changes were meaningful.

Worked almost fine for me... But somehow I prevented some Pages to load the Login windows (iframes?)
even whitelist the website did not help. That's why I had to remove this extenstion. Everything else worked fine, but the block me from using my mails made it unusable.

I installed it, hoping it would make the addons.mozilla.org site dark so I can read without having to squint at the screen that is too bright, but it won't put the site into a dark mode. Can this be fixed somehow?

Good but can be very buggy sometimes.

I have ads breaking through my ad blocker on Yahoo mail when I have this extension enabled. That's not really acceptable. I guess I'll only use this when my eyes are really tired.

enabling this on amazon.com vs the white page default causes amazon to load default page images much slower

Very good extension. I use it for many years but since around 1 week it bug even when i put off the filter for the page or for all. I had to disable from firefox.

What happened? This app is essential to me because I have severe light and contrast sensitivity. I noticed some months ago that it wasn't working as it used to, but since the last update it's a huge drain on resources and literally breaks a large percent of the sites I visit now. I just restarted my computer because of a "ghost window" that was blank that I couldn't close. I was having network issues anyway, so I restarted. It was still there. Fixed it by disabling the extension. What's wrong, Dark Reader devs?

I don't why but after latest changes, it causes stylesheet objects to corrupt, and the pages fail to render

Version 4.9.99 and i'm still having issues with certain websites (twitch and kick in particular) causing insane lag on load, sometimes even killing the page entirely. it's not every time but it's gotten bad enough i felt the need to leave feedback at this point.

works good, but the company uses AI images in their ads... seriously??
