I have seen it allow through multiple pop-up "Adult" ads (for X-rated games especially) while triggering the YouTube "We're about to stop your viewing" warning. I understand this is an ongoing war between Google and ad-blockers, and Google needs to wise up both in the number of ads it employs on YouTube and their length (a 30 second ad every 3 minutes on a video is ridiculous). And if Ghostery won't stop X-rated ads, what value is it?
This is a complex field and I sympathize with the company. It does stop a LOT of ads and the settings are versatile (allowing to restrict some sites while blocking others). But it doesn't really do all the job all the time... and the YouTube war is a real problem for the whole industry since Google seems to have no common sense whatsoever.

- Hodnotenie: 5 z 5autor: norfin, pred 17 hodinamiworks great with and on everything. love it. one of the only ad blockers i found that youtube doesnt block (i may be stupid idk.) easy to configure, disable, and enable. super convenient. i dont really see what the 1-2 star reviews are talking about saying it doesnt work at all, works perfectly.

When installing a new browser, installation of Ghostery is the very first thing that I do before even using it for any browsing at all. I'm actually in the middle of coordinating deployment of Ghostery to an entire fleet of 400 machines to protect our corporate users from malicious web ads and improve their overall browsing experience.
