    Russian name...now asking for permissions the add-on clearly doesnt need in order to function. Yea screw that, im uninstalling. I dont care if it is open source, that doesnt give you a pass to spy. I dont feel safe having this installed any further. You dont need those permissions!

    Nothing in the extension changed - it’s open-source, so you can verify that yourself. What changed is how Mozilla labels privacy-related permissions.

    The extension only uses an anonymous, randomly generated ID, and the id of the video that you liked/disliked.

    • YouTube access - needed to read the current video ID and show its dislike count.
    • RYD API access - needed for API requests and diagnostics.
    • Online/activity data - viewing, liking, or disliking videos.
    • Personally identifiable information - RYD’s random private user ID used to count votes, not your real identity.
    • Website content - mainly the video ID.

    The new labels sound scary, but they describe the same data the extension has always used.

    The new update is probably AI generated after months of inactivity the dev pushed an enormous 39,880 lines of code in their repo.I hope we get a clarification, until this uninstalled

    The 39,880 figure includes the entire repository update: about 85% of those additions are automated tests and test infrastructure, which aren’t shipped with the extension.

    The actual source changes in that commit are 3,580 lines added and 755 removed across the extension and userscript.

    Was working as intended. Then all of a sudden some of my youtube videos started having disgusting buffering issues (similar to when you have 2mbps internet), and refusing to buffer unless the video was paused. EXTREMELY annoying. Disabled this addon, and the problem was sorted. Fix this please. Once this issue is resolved i'll be more than happy to update with 5 stars.

    No longer working.

    It worked up till about a month ago. Now, the dislike button is broken. You can't see if you've disliked a video or not, and there's no number or thumbs down count.
