Every AI interaction you have consumes energy, but not all prompts are created equal.

A short, precise prompt may use just a few hundred tokens; a vague one can multiply that tenfold, while producing poorer results. AI Wattch makes this invisible impact visible.

Built by Antarctica and IT Climate Ed, AI Wattch helps you understand how your usage habits shape your AI footprint. Using the One-Token Methodology, it translates your AI activity across ChatGPT and Claude into clear data: energy used, carbon emitted, and efficiency per model and session.

AI Wattch isn’t about guilt. It’s about awareness. It helps you build better prompting habits, choose efficient models, and see how your single prompt impacts your work and the planet.

⚡ How It Works
  1. Install the extension and open your favorite AI tool. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini (Coming soon).
  2. Start prompting as usual. AI Wattch quietly monitors your session, counting tokens, estimating compute load, and showing the resulting energy and carbon impact.
  3. Compare results between sessions or models. Learn which AI models are more efficient and which prompting styles consume more energy.
  4. Get insights on how to make your prompting more efficient. Write clearer instructions, reduce retries, and limit unnecessarily long completions.
