- I really appreciate this add-on, for the reason you give... Some pages have grey text that can't even be read. Are they paying for the ink that they can't make the text black?
But I have two problems that take away one star:
1) I don't know what changed by now if I'm trying to write or answer a post on nextdoor.com , the text is invisible. If I highlight it with Ctrl-A, it's visible again but only until I do something. It took a while, but I found that if I right-click on the B in the add-on list and click "manual" it's visible, but only for a while.

I might have had trouble on one other page, the alerts page from a Capital One credit card. I would check things and the check marks wouldn't show. A month ago. If you make a change to Blacken and you want me to test this, just write me at meirman@erols.com
2) I don't understand the add-on. What is the difference between Blacken and Manual? What does Manual do? When would I use Whiten? .... I don't know what whiten does and if manual does Blacken, then what does blacken do?开发者回应
发布于 2 年前Unfortunately since the add-on was written, pages have become a lot more complicated and it is harder to keep up.
If the page has been messed up by the add-on the Original button will restore it.
The Manual button is for when you aren't using Automatic mode. It either blackens or whitens the text. But it may get it wrong since it requires estimating the background colour of the text. This has become much more difficult these days. The Blacken button is supposed to unconditionally blacken the text, and White unconditionally whiten the text. Be sure that on the whitelists page you have clicked "Do all but these" to exclude the URLs that you list.
