I love these buttons but I really wish there was also a close tabs to the left button. I can't understand why there isn't one. I have to use a separate add-on for that and it spoils the 'theme' of all your other tab buttons that I use. Being able to change the icons would be a fantastic feature.

Thank you! This is very useful. Is there a way to trigger it with a keyboard shortcut? It would make it even better..

I don't want to add Keyboard shortcuts yet, not until Firefox adds some way to make them customisable (they are working on it). Other wise there is no way to turn them off for people that don't want it, or change it to avoid conflicts.
