- Great concept and I expect it will be very useful, but there are a few things that could be improved:
- It needs the ability to customize the hotkey. I want to use it as the default when opening new tabs, but I can't set it to use Ctrl+T
- It opens the tab to about:logopage, which causes an address isn't valild error and, more importantly, takes the focus off of the location bar. It should open tabs to the same page normal tabs are set to open to (blank in my case) or, if that can't be done for some reason, it should have an option to allow that to be specified.
- I'm not sure if it's possible to change a container on the fly, but if it is, it would be nice to be able to have it automatically switch to a specified container based on domains (e.g. if I open a new tab and go to Facebook, have it automatically switch to a predesignated Facebook container). Edit: Looking at Temporary Containers, it appears this is in fact possible. Also, by providing domain-specific rules, it could be set to, for example, typically open links in new tabs in the same container (as it currently does) but open links on certain domains (e.g. mail.yahoo.com or mail.google.com) in new tabs in new containers.
- An option to open links from other programs in a new container
- An option to delay removal of containers for a specified amount of time
Edit: After further research, I'm now questioning the usefulness of this. It seems that first party isolation (FPI) does essentially the same thing and is more robust than containers, and it can be enabled by simply changing a setting or two in about:config. This makes containers only useful in special circumstances. I'm not knocking this addon, and perhaps some will find it useful, but AFAICT at this point most people that are looking for the functionality it provides would be better suited by FPI. - 评分 3 / 5来自 CanIregisterThisTime, 7 年前Works nicely, but proprietary was a mistake. Have gone with Temporary Containers now, an addon that has always been open.
