Enviro-Shade helps developers avoid costly mistakes by making environments unmistakable at a glance.

Visual indicators: a top banner (“chip”) and optional diagonal watermark on matching pages.

Severity levels: low / medium / high adjust size and opacity (e.g., stronger for PROD).

Toolbar badge: compact label in the toolbar for the active tab.

Easy rules: URL globs (e.g., ://.pro.cfapps./*) with custom label, color, and severity.

Live preview: test and reorder rules in the Options page; add rules from open tabs.

Privacy-respecting: runs locally; no network requests or tracking.

Permissions used

<all_urls> (host permissions): needed to match any site you choose.

tabs: read active tab URL & update badge.

storage: save rules (syncs via Firefox Sync if enabled).

webNavigation: update overlay on navigations, including SPAs.
