In Tor Browser, Tab Session Manager does Auto Save all sessions.
In Firefox, Tab Session Manager does not Auto Save any session.
In Tor Browser, opening, or restoring, a saved session works.
In both Firefox and Tor Browser, Keyboard Shortcuts do not work.

Addition after the original review.
I shut down Firefox and then restarted Firefox a little before midnight on Saturday 2025 / January / 04 , about 27 hours ago. On Sunday 2025 / January / 05 between 02:00 and 02:45, I looked at my computer's Download folder and noticed a folder that I had not seen before. I saw that the Tab Session Manager Auto Save folder had been created at 23:57 on Saturday, about the time I shut down and restarted Firefox. I then looked at the creation dates and times of the files in the three folders contained in the Auto Save folder. All files were created between 23:57 and 23:59 on Saturday.
The first file in the file list was named 2025-01-03 03-07-31 - FoxyTab Options #regular - [61{Redacted}-{Redacted}9-4{Redacted}-9{Redacted}-{Redacted}f].json, and it had a Created date and time of Saturday January 4, 2025, 23:58:13. Notice that the first part of the name is a date and time, specifically the date and time when Tab Session Manager created an auto save session. Notice also that the file's Created date and time is about 45 hours after Tab Session Manager created the auto save session contained in that file. Tab Session Manager should have saved the auto save session into a file and placed that file in the appropriate Auto Save folder at the same time that it auto saved the session.

- 评分 2 / 5来自 Michael Wagener， 24 天前The only problem that I have with TSM is that it does not play nicely with Simple Tab Groups at the moment. I use STG all the time, so unfortunately until this bug is sorted, TSM is a non-starter for me. Which is unfortunate because it is highly recommended and I would like to use it. (P.S.: I run a Mac using Monterey so quite old, nevertheless, this post is accurate as at 2025-05-08.)
- Works really well. I would like functionality to name windows and have that title persisting after saving and restoring a window or session. I'm using extension Window Titler that prefixes the name of the window with [MyTitle], followed by the name of whatever tab is currently open (so window title changes dynamically). That functionality is perfect, but that title is obviously lost when window is saved.

- This is an excellent and convenient extension that I've used for years. It has saved me many times when I would have otherwise lost all my tabs. I love that I can create manual and automatic saved sessions and even back up to the cloud or export to a local file.
If possible, I would really love the ability to backup up tab groups. I know that it is a really new feature and I don't know if extensions have the ability to do that, but it would be very helpful.
I think that it would also be nice to have a feature to pin some sessions to the top of the list to make them easily accessible. - 评分 5 / 5来自 CommissarMouse， 1 个月前
- This extension is almost but not exactly quite what I am looking for. I really really dig the idea but the way that sessions work essentially just makes this a more complicated history tab. I would like the option to update and overwrite an auto save instead of creating a whole new save. With autosave a new save is created that overwhelms manually created sessions. I would expect the behavior that each window is an independent save and duplicates are not created. Additionally with events such as window and browser closing, the save feature creates multiple identical and redundant sessions.

However, since April 6, automatic saving is no longer carried out, neither automatic saving, nor regularly saving the session, nor saving the session when the browser or window is closed.
There are approx. 1800 open tabs - 评分 1 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 13027013， 2 个月前On two different ff versions 91.9.1 and 115.20 it randomly deleted ALL sessions, on one ff i lost a sessionwith 2000 tabs and on the other 1800 tabs, backup is disabled by default, no other backups are kept and recovery is possible only if you have all your history from the past 6 months. evrything else is pretty good.

- 评分 5 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 16318253， 2 个月前After several months of using I can say: Absolutely Vital. When you don't want to close a window (just in case you possibly would miss the tabs), save the window instead. No more gazillions of windows, and no tab is lost.
