But new, since a few days, is the behavior that embeded YouTube Videos on websites will not work any longer until the Referrer is off.

I wish the author would do an equivalent "on/off button" add-on for the dom.storage setting, especially as more and more sites annoyingly use local storage but I refuse to have it turned on permanently for obvious privacy reasons.

Also, if I do not use the spoofer, will it appear as though I went to the website directly, or will it indicate that I blocked the website from receiving the referrer information?

发布于 5 年前The "spoofer" is *only* for known problematic websites. The rules are visible here:

If you come across some website which does not work with Referrer disabled, then you may open an Issue here:
https://github.com/M-Reimer/togglereferrer/issues
describing which website this is.
The goal of the "spoofer" is not to spoof random Referrer values but to make websites work well even without a valid referrer. The idea is to spoof just as much referrer as needed to make the website happy. - 评分 5 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 14608175， 5 年前

发布于 7 年前Dies ist mit der genutzten Firefox-Schnittstelle leider nicht möglich. Die kennt nur "an" und "aus".
Update: Aktuelle Versionen haben eine optionale Spoofing-Funktion die (immer noch ohne einen "realen" Referrer zu senden) problematische Webseiten zum Funktionieren "überredet".
