Some sites have cracked it such that it does not show what they are using to profile you and bypasses it's protections, but only found a couple that do that. Most will just lock you out until you uncloak so they can profile and ID you. What is really needed is an add on that successfully spoofs all the javascripts they use to profile and IDentify you As of now, nothing like that. Chameleon does it somewhat but not convinced it really does the job. This profiling of browsers is not far off from getting your actual ID since they can identify you by the browser you are using.
New "developer" screwed up the config file save on this addon which now reports error messages because he did not do the right coding. No good documentation to teach you what to block to avoid being blocked/tracked.
No good explaination of the often cryptic settings. Slow to load on older machines. Does not maintain settings on some browsers. Does show you how intrusive and tracking some pages are. Google and facebook are connecting everwhere. Some pages you have to disable it completely to get them to load properly. - Rated 2 out of 5by USER-EXPERIENCEONLY, 3 years agoupdate:
Too much trouble to use it. too many settings and no instructions on which ones will break a site. can't keep it's settings on epic browser. Doesn't seem to keep it's settings even when you save them. Does not openly report on all blocked scripts, you have to click again on the blocked items to see what scripts are doing the blocking. With some websites the scripts are encoded such that you cannot determine what they are doing, what they are asking for. You must click a second time on the blocked generic to even see that there are scripts there trying to get info on your browser. Does not good though because the scripts are packed and you can't see what they are after. Many sites you must disable it entirely or they simply won't load. Not enough instruction, no manual to guide you to determine what to allow and what to remain blocked in order to load the page yet not let them PROFILE and uniquely identify you and your browser. We need an add on that spoofs our profile without blocking the site.
Been using it both mostly on chrome but now available on ffox. Slow to load. Cannot keep setting depending on the browser so you have to reset everything when starting the browser. No user manual, you have to be a coder or computer nerd freak to figure out which settings to use and , will block ur site access. Impossible to use on sites that keep adding scripts as you go, unless you set them to trust which will destroy the purpose of the add on to begin with. It does seem to work, blocked this review login several times. Takes too much time to configure it. Would be helpful if developer made a manual that told user how to tailor it to certain websites that are privacy invasive. Doesn't alert you if you forget to enable the addon, so you expose yourself w/out warning.
