Edit 2 : better than Live Bookmarks and more efficient.

Sinon, pourquoi les 2 étoiles en moins ? (que faut il corriger/améliorer/ajouter ?)
Edit:
This RSS-feeds-manager needs a 3 vertical column layout, one for feeds, another vertical column for article-titles, and the third one for article-content. Also it needs a dark theme.
I will wait for this upgrades, and then I will raise my stars.
EDIT - ANSWER TO THE DEV: All the most used RSS-feeds-manager has a 3 vertical column layout. IMO it is a must. Please, take a look at FeedBro, NewsFox and others, and you will see that the 3rd vertical column layout is perfect, and works perfect. At this layout, normally the column-widths are customizable, so there is no problem at all with visibility. Users decide each column-width. The benefit of this layout is the possibility of having a larger vertical list of feeds in the first column, a larger vertical list of titles in the second column, and one article-content in the third column, everything in one screen at the same time. Your add-on doesn't allow that. Please, take a look over the most used add-ons, perhaps you can be inspired by these add-ons.
EDIT 2: I rise my qualification to 5 starts, regarding the excellent attitude of the developer "dauphine-dev". He seems an open-mind person, open to suggestions, and willing to improve his add-on based on user requests. Congratulations and thank you.
Thank you for you review and your requests :-)
Drop feeds has already 2 vertical column layout one for feeds, another vertical column for article-titles (option Items / Feed items list).
I will think to add a 3rd column for article content (but I am not sure it is good idea because articles will display in small area, and will be difficult to read, but if it is what users want, then I will do it)
Yeah you are right, Drop feeds needs a dark theme.
But these improvements will not come on the next version 0.9 (close to be ready and coming soon) but may be in 0.9.1 or 0.9.2 you will see ;-)
Edit:
Like as I said I will do it (3rd vertical column layout), and yes I will take a look to other RSS addons.
Edit2:
Thank you :-)
Edit3:
- I have take a look to FeedBro but I haven't the 3rd layout in the left column, but may be I haven't look well.
- I have tried too to take a look to NewsFox, but is not compatible with actual Firefox version, and I have tried to install it on Firefox 56, but unfortunately it has failed (I haven't investigate why...), then I haven't no example to base on, and see what you expect exactly...
- Any way I have made a 3rd layout, it is available on github: https://github.com/dauphine-dev/drop-feeds/releases/tag/0.9.1alpha4 . If you have any remarks please tell me in the discussion thread devoted to this development here : https://github.com/dauphine-dev/drop-feeds/issues/64
Have fun with Drop Feeds 0.9.1alpha4 ;-) (it is a incomplete work, but it is a working version)
Edit4:
The 3rd layout and dark themes are now available in Drop Feeds version 0.9.1 - 评分 4 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 14374652,6 年前It looks like this will be a good replacement for Sage in time. It is very nice to have a sidebar feedreader back. However, it seems to still be rather buggy. I wasn't able to change the folder it used from Drop Feeds to my old RSS Feeds folder for example, nor to the old default Sage Feeds folder.
One major downside is that it doesn't allow you to use Livebooksmarks in the way that Sage did. This was an issue with the reader I had before Sage, but thought it had always worked with Sage. However, I'm finding this MIGHT be due to a Firefox issue, so I'm not taking a point off the rating for it.
That said, it doesn't have all the features of Sage, including some moderately important ones like a way to mark all items in a feed read with a button.

About :
- "it doesn't allow you to use Livebooksmarks in the way that Sage did":
Yes you are right. When I have started Drop Feeds I have tried to use Livebooksmarks, but with WebExtension API I haven't access to Livebooksmarks url, without url I can do nothing, then I have use classic bookmarks (but may be I have missed some thing, if any one reading that know then please tell me, but any way If I have well understood Livebooksmarks will be stopped in Firefox 64)
- "I wasn't able to change the folder it used from Drop Feeds to my old RSS Feeds folder for example, nor to the old default Sage Feeds folder":
Yes, you are right again. It 's because Sage was using Livebooksmarks, and like I said upper Drop Feeds can't manage them correctly with WebExtension API.
Then you have use OPML export from Sage and OPML import in Drop Feeds.
- missing important features like a way to mark all items in a feed read with a button.
To see the the items toolbar you have to check the option "Items/Feed item list toolbar", you will get a button to mark all items in a feed read.
But may be I haven't understood what you talk about, then me more about, and I will add the missing feature in the next version.

Question: is it possible to change font sizes? In both the items list and the article view panes I'm used to much smaller fonts, which I like because then I can see more at the same time.
Thank you for your review.
About changing font sizes there isn't option to do that for now.
But you can edit the css files to change font size, and load Drop Feeds like a temporary addons from "about:debugging" tab.
If you want a permanent change you can make a pull request on github with a new theme with a small font.
For the far future, I will think how to add an option. I was missing the Sage RSS reader since Firefox Quantum came out, I used it for years. Mad props to the extension developer for cooking up a modern replacement.
If you could please add the option to set custom hotkeys to a open/close the Drop Feeds side-panel (eg Alt+Z) that'd be great. Thanks in advance.
Thank you for your review.
About hotkeys I am afraid I can't make custom hotkeys because in Webextensions (quantum addon way) hotkeys are hardcoded in manifest.json file, I will take a look to see if I can found a workaround but without guaranties. I love this extension. Tried others that were not nearly so nice and have been looking for a replacement for Sage for a long time. Just happend upon yuour extension a couple of months ago. My only, and I mean only, issue is that the "discover feeds" feature seems to have stopped working on my 61.0.1 (64 bit) Firefox. I don't know if that has something to do with the last update or not. It formerly worked but does not now -- at least for me. It starts to search, then the colored progress bar moves just a little way and stops. It's a feature that is greatly helpful as many sites seem to hide their RSS feeds, so if there is a fix, or a way around it, i would sincerely wish to know. Regardless, thanks so very much for this extension!!!
PS. Thanks so much for the prompt response. My version was 0.8.2d. Updating to 0.8.2e fixed the issue perfectly. Thanks again for the great extension!

Please can you check you Drop Feeds version ?
Tell me what is you version.
I made a fix for that in 0.8.2e.
If you already have 0.8.2e then I will need your help because I not reproduce this issue. And if not then update to 0.8.2e.

A few minor things I noticed:
1. drag-and-drop of a feed into the main window tries to open www."Feed-ID".com instead of using the URL
2. the initial width of the sidebar on high-DPI systems could be a bit wider (the "Open options tab" icon is slightly cut off)
3. the feed item list could use some pixels of spacing in front of the item number
4. the vertical scrollbar on the feed item list rarely activates itself, often need to resize between feed list and feed item list to make it show up
5. it would be nice if the feed item list tooltip would also show the the headline (like Sage++ did)
6. sometimes the feed item list tooltips contain a lot of leading whitespace
7. the parsing of headlines for the feed item list seems to have problems sometimes, currently visible with todays DailyWTF entry: http://thedailywtf.com/rss.aspx
Edit#1: 7. is easy to see once you mark all as read. Today the second entry should stay "dark black" and you won't see a leading "2. ". Note this is only in the feed item list, in the main window the feed is rendered just fine.

I will see what I can do for your all few minor things you have noticed (not may be not on 0.7 but on 0.8 then you will have to wait a little..)
I have create the issues on github
https://github.com/dauphine-dev/drop-feeds/issues
If you want you can modify/improve them
Edit:
About (7.) I can't see what it the issue with DailyWTF, may be you can add a screen shot on git hub.
This is a good replacement for Sage, however the only reason I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars instead of 5 is because I have a couple issues with it. First, I usually have to click the Drop feeds button twice for the sidebar to open up. Second issue is that it doesn't seem to work right with the Tom's Hardware RSS feed. Just shows the same article multiple times. Didn't have that issue with Sage or Brief.

And thank you for reporting issues, it is important it helps me to make Drop Feeds better.
I will take a look at that and see how I can fix that.
Edit:
1. about "click the Drop feeds button twice for the sidebar":
- I can't fix that, because "browser_action" button is not designed (at Firefox level) to open the side bar but a popup window. Then Drop Feeds uses a workaround to open the sidebar, but this implies that when Drop Feeds is not loaded to click twice.
2. about "...with the Tom's Hardware RSS feed. Just shows the same article multiple times.":
It is fixed in 0.7.13
Edit2:
About "click the Drop feeds button twice for the sidebar":
It is fixed in 0.9.4alpha1, available here: https://github.com/dauphine-dev/drop-feeds/releases
It will be available on AMO when 0.9.4 will be ready. Drop Feeds is the only good replacement for Sage that I've found. The one thing I miss is: I haven't found any way to use my own style sheet (with Sage, you could link to a CSS file). Does anyone know how to do that?

Drop Feeds is still in development (is flag as experimental), this feature is scheduled for '0.9.x Adding option to add custom theme' see the road map here :

I have sorted my feeds by theme (e.g. News, Entertainment, IT, etc.), and with Sage, I could add a divider line between the themes. These lines then disappeard once I've clicked the last feed above the line. True, it's not necessary really, but it makes for a nicer view. :) Any chance of that happening? Once again, thanks for the great work on this!

I look what I can do, I think I will add an option for that (but it can take a while (or not, you will see ;-)), because I am working on other stuffs)
Edit:
About mark all items as read before leaving feed:
In 07.17 I have added an option to mark all items as read before leaving feeds, you can found it, in Options/Items
Edit2:
About "add a divider line in the feed list in the top left section"
I not sure to understood what you want, may be you can share a screenshot. To report bugs, or to request new feature, it is better if you do that on GIT (https://github.com/dauphine-dev/drop-feeds) in the section issue, because on GIT I will get a notification, here I will not (in fact I get one only for the a new comment but not when a old has changed, but some time I take a look just like now) - 评分 4 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 14075005,6 年前Hello, as a former Sage user I'm highly pleased to find this extension and looks very promising, but I have a problem. I have selected my old sage_feeds folder and most of the feeds aren't recognized and are shown as empty folders. The shortcut ctrl+shift+z doesn't work, either.
**EDIT** Ok, it seems that is FF which has broken my feeds. I'll try to recover them. Thanks anyway!
About 'empty folders' I had a similar problem a few month ago, it was caused by 'Firefox sync' .
About 'ctrl+shift+z' I will take a look.
Thank you for you feed back.
Edit:
In 0.7.12, I have the shortcut from 'Ctrl + Shift + Z' to 'Ctrl+Shit+U' (because 'Ctrl + Shift + Z' was interfering with Firefox shortcut 'Ctrl + Shift + Z': Redo) - 评分 5 / 5来自 goliathz,6 年前
