- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18011719, a year agoI've been apart of the proton eco-system for about 2 years now and have enjoyed most of their products. THIS was a huge time saver to have all my logins in one central place. It's quick to setup and easy to import from other providers.

For example:
OTPs imported from Bitwarden don't work for websites like Discord, Coinbase, login.live.com, paypal.com(probably more). When trying to reset the 2FA on these websites, they don't accept the new token generated by Proton.
After making changes to an entry, Proton won't let me save (greyed out, as if nothing has been changed) sometimes. (iOS and Firefox)
Doesn't detect some login masks.
Won't update/create Login after logging in (if no login exists yet)(sometimes).
Can't edit entries on iOS when accessing app via keyboard-shortcut.
Other than that, I really like the features it provides, although I would also like to be able to generate passwords without having to create a login.
Also, please enable shortcuts for autofilling as well as choosing options using the context menu when right-clicking in a login field. (similar to how Bitwarden works)Developer response

1. For the unrecognized OTP items, can you let us know if you have multiple 2FAs configured for these platforms? Can you check if the same 6-digit codes are being generated in both Bitwarden and Proton Pass?
2. The extension / app not letting you save edits: Could you detail the exact steps on how to reproduce this behavior so we can investigate further on our end?
3. Login masks - could you elaborate on what you're referring to here?
4. We're working on improving this behavior. For the time being, if a login item hasn't been saved when you're automatically generating credentials during a sign-up, you can find the generated email alias as a separate item in the extension, and you can view generated passwords from the past 24 hours in Password history (Open the extension → + → Password → Password history).
5. Again, can you detail the exact steps here so we can try to reproduce this?
6. We're going to work on keyboard shortcut support in future updates, but we don't have a timeline to promise in this regard at the present moment.

In it's current state, passwords fail to autosave, autofill is shaky and it is probably a good idea to use in conjunction with something like Bitwarden. Hopefully they will resolve this swiftly.Developer response
posted a year agoHi! Did a password fail to auto-save when you generate it directly through the suggestion while signing up at a certain web service? If so, you can view any generated passwords in the past day by opening the Pass extension → select + → Password → Password history.
This way you can find the password and save it in your login item for which it was created.
As for autofill, could you let us know for which apps/web services it didn't work, so we can document this for future improvement? posted a year agoThat sounds odd. Can you explain a bit further how the lock function isn't working? What Firefox version are you using? I already have communicated it to Proton Team 6 months ago, but it seems that they did not solve the problem. It happens using free account. I hope, someone is reading this and could add this to todo list. Thanks.

- Rated 1 out of 5by C Wolland, a year agoUpon reevaluating the Firefox Extension, Proton Pass, it's clear that it holds true to its commitment of being an entirely private and secure password manager—it efficiently safeguards all your data, metadata included. However, the user interface could see enhancements, particularly in terms of detail management. As it stands at the time of this review, only a limited portion of the screen is available for editing all your details.
A key gripe for me is the inability to adjust your login email address—a restriction that Proton itself doesn't see as crucial, suggesting users subscribe to a new package with a different address if desired. This is puzzling, especially since I've managed to alter my email address on other secure platforms like sync.com, which also incorporate end-to-end encryption. Such experiences affirm that this feature, indeed, can be integrated, even within E2E encryption models' framework.
Despite these early developmental challenges and teething issues—commonplace for any new product—Proton Pass, barring the aforementioned points, proves itself to be an impressive offering.Developer response
posted a year agoIf you're on a premium plan, you're able to log in with any of the additional email addresses you may have on your single paid account.
It's not possible to alter or disable the original email address tied to your Proton account at the moment, as this is not only used for Pass but all other Proton services as well. - Rated 4 out of 5by FollowtheRieper, a year ago

However, when going through websites and updating old vulnerable passwords, Proton Pass did not save or offer to save the newly updated password. So after using the "suggest strong password" from Proton Pass, it never saves it! What's the point then?
Firefox asked immediately to save these after updating but Proton did not, making it the inferior product at the time of this review. Extremely disappointed and irritated. And yes "Prompt for auto-save" is turned on in the settings.Developer response

Thank you for taking the time to rate and review our app! - Rated 1 out of 5by ㅤㅤ, a year agoUPDATED ON AUGUST 8: If I spoof my user agent string to identify my web browser as Firefox 110 or any older version, then this add-on interferes with mas.to by blocking the search box and its quick access menu. I have already reported this bug via Proton Customer Support (request #2325002). I'm uninstalling this add-on.
